I had a great time, I'm not sure about the band. The wind was blowing real hard, but the music was great!

I have decent audience copy of this show. Even with the wind, its a great one. The Truckin>Nobody's>Other One>Heaven Help is just awsome! Please remaster this from the vault!

I became entirely unglued by the time the Dead came on - that's what I get for dosing without eating a proper breakfast. Seriously, I had NO IDEA what was happening by the time we hitched from South Lake Tahoe to Reno. Complete LSD Blackout.It was my first show with Sharon and our only real "date." I finally, got it together at the encore and realized I was at a Grateful Dead show. Later, JiJi

Wow, me too! I remember buying an old station wagon for $50 to drive to a dead show in Reno but there was a lot of window pane that year.

Hey there Ziphler, that was some trip we took to Reno in that old station wagon! I remember we followed the Dead to Portland, too in that old boat! We called it a boat cause it drove like a boat. I also remember it had a terrible oil leak, and we traveled with a case of oil just to keep it going! That Portland show was the only time I saw them play "Money Money", a tune they quickly retired. It was an odd, angry tune, not working with the dead synergy. Reno seemed odd like the Dead couldn't get squared away with the crowd, but that could just be me. I seemed like they tried to get energy goin and there wasn't much response from the audience. Maybe I was just spoiled by Winterland crowds.

I was the blond haired giraffe bouncing up and down in the front, enough to make Jerry crack up at one point. Having become a professional musician since those days, jaded by years of great and not so great music, the GD show at University of Nevada, Reno, May 74 stands out as my all-time favorite. It wasn't a monstrous crowd, which I liked. The transparency of 'the Wall' was amazing! I remember that far in the back I could hear a loose nut on Billy's kick pedal, seriously! The wind was a big factor, good, bad. Certainly made a lot of folks nervous. I think the good, being a player, was that when you're charged up by the 'elements', added with a little sense of danger, you're gonna play on top of your game. As Billy explained it to me some years back "play and get the hell out of there!"

Is there a digital copy of this available for download? I know there were some soundboard issues, so if it's a partial copy that would be fine.

The picture was old from the University of Nevada but the reason behind the picture is still the hot point to talk about in the meantime. The band is performing in front of the students and taking appreciation from the https://anffhub.latrobe.edu.au/members/1499/blog/2020/07/unravelling-th… that means they know how to build relationships with the university student.

I was there, my first and only GD concert. Sitting about 20 yards out from center stage, on the grass in up to 40-knot crosswinds. Some gusts carried the sound away momentarily. I had just finished my first year studying music at U. Nevada, and had just been hired to play trombone in the Harrah's Tahoe house orchestra for the Sammy Davis Jr show, the beginning of my own 15-year pro music career. Only 49+ years ago!
