My Last Show, what a treat it was
At this point I was going to less & less shows. I remember being underwhelmed at the Giants Stadium show a couple months prior to this. Anyway I had a younger buddy that had never been to a Dead show. Gave him a call & figured it would be a tough ticket. Instead we walked right up to the box off window a few minutes before showtime & bought tickets in the old upper Blue seats. (my first show was Nassau Coliseum Spring 85, got in the same way. Bought a general admission ticket right at the box office & was completely blown away by the music & the scene. So my first & last were easy to get in, non sellouts. Comes around full circle). It was rather exciting entering MSG for the first time since game 7 when the New York Rangers won the Stanley cup the previous June. The entering crowd were loudly chanting Let's Go Rangers all up the escalators . The show was a perfect GD send off for me, chilled & relaxed sitting down in the upper Blue seats smoking J's.
