The highlights: St. Stephen, despite the botched intro, Doodle, Cassidy, Bird Song, China > Rider, Help > Slip > Franklin, and [surprisingly] Revolution. Even the songs I don't usually like, Man Smart and Esau, are enjoyable. Note that I don't put Day Job in the "don't usually like" category; I might be the only one who doesn't mind that one! I listened to these shows again this week and loved them. I bet you will too. The info: 10/11/83 One Wang Dang Doodle [7:16] > Jack Straw [5:17] ; Loser [6:49] ; Me And My Uncle [3:11] > Mexicali Blues [4:25] ; Bird Song [10:48] ; Hell In A Bucket [5:36] > Keep Your Day Job [4:26] Two China Cat Sunflower [7:41] > I Know You Rider [5:54] ; I Need A Miracle [4:51] > Bertha [6:02] > Space [3:32] > China Doll [8:09] > Drums [6:#47] > Space [10:15] > Saint Stephen [6:44] > Throwing Stones [9:27] > Touch Of Grey [6:12] Encore Johnny B. Goode [4:09] 1

Musta had his car broken into ;^). I think that makes the score five vines for BS now, but I might've missed one. I know pabogonia and Hal will appreciate the reseed, PK, but you've got that surge of Ltapilot's New Year's vines breathing down your neck, I mailed them to TNHG today. Let me know if you have time for the reseed, I could get on it this weekend. Cheers, MarkintheDark ********************************************* I have a sigfile! --> www.kindveggieburritos.com *********************************************

The "he's gone" comment is a lame attempt at humor, sorry. peace and good gardening! pk

Sorry, but DP 6 was not a good show. Jerry had a hard night. His vocals were strained and off-key at times (Tennessee Jed). Plus the playing was non-inspiring...bla. The set-list was great, but there had to be better '83 shows to choose from than this. It's just my opinion of course.

I will just make 2 points and shut the hell up. First, the Scarlet > Fire is one of the best. The jam before the wind in the willows verse and the jam btwn songs reach incredible peaks. Second, if you don't like that show, I would not recommend these shows to you.
