Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
Our first selection this week is from the second of two nights in Waterbury, CT, on an excellent tour. From the 9/24/72 show we have some first set songs played extremely well: Big Railroad Blues ; Mexicali Blues ; Loser ; Black Throated Wind ; Cumberland Blues.
Next we have music from the Grateful Dead's final show in their adopted home base of San Rafael, CA, on 4/1/84 at the Marin Veteran's Memorial Center, featuring the end of the second set: Space>Morning Dew>I Need A Miracle>Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad>Good Lovin', Touch Of Grey.
Our final selection this week is music from the first night at Giants Stadium in 1991, on 6/16/91, featuring I Need A Miracle>Black Peter>Throwing Stones>Not Fade Away. These two Giants Stadium shows were video taped and recorded to multi-track audio, so hopefully we'll see a big, surround sound video release of these shows some day.
Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the vault.
