    Fall '72...
The Fall '72 tour is great also! They played songs which I'm surprised they didn't in Europe, such as Bird Song,FOTD,etc..A box set would be a nice companion to the Europe box set. I don't care how much 72 or 77 is out there, you can never have enough! I listen to Fall 72 on the archives all the time and some more official releases would be great! Keep it coming Dave, its all GOOD!!!!

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Our first selection this week is from the second of two nights in Waterbury, CT, on an excellent tour. From the 9/24/72 show we have some first set songs played extremely well: Big Railroad Blues ; Mexicali Blues ; Loser ; Black Throated Wind ; Cumberland Blues.

Next we have music from the Grateful Dead's final show in their adopted home base of San Rafael, CA, on 4/1/84 at the Marin Veteran's Memorial Center, featuring the end of the second set: Space>Morning Dew>I Need A Miracle>Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad>Good Lovin', Touch Of Grey.

Our final selection this week is music from the first night at Giants Stadium in 1991, on 6/16/91, featuring I Need A Miracle>Black Peter>Throwing Stones>Not Fade Away. These two Giants Stadium shows were video taped and recorded to multi-track audio, so hopefully we'll see a big, surround sound video release of these shows some day.

Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the vault.

This two night stand at Waterbury, CT in 1972 released. The two second sets had the same three songs in reverse order, Promised>Bertha>Greatest - Greatest>Bertha>Promised. That is a set of shows I'd buy! It is in the vault in it's entirety I think, David.

Good call Anna: This morning on GD History, Dave mentioned the band played incredibly well for the entire '72 fall tour, from Veneta OR on. I was lucky to catch 3. BTW, today's feature on XM Sirius was the Playin' from 11/18/72.
