It was the best of times
I was with a large group of bay area friends about 30 fThis was the last of four New Years I was lucky to have attendedeet from the stage. I brought sourdough breads from Marin and aged cheddar. Others brought organic farm fresh vegies and wine. We had a picnic there on the Oakland floor. A good friend arrived with a big bag of Northern Californias best and the night was just beginning. It was heaven from let the good times roll to the 2nd set clasic start of sugar mags and a new years Dew! It was the best of times.

My one and only New Years show. How sweet it was,and quite an adventure getting there and back from L.A. And to think there's DH's who've never seen the Dead let alone a New Years show. I 'll consider myself blessed! I remember the audience howling during Watchtower.

That year was great! Got in backstage from guard friend of my roommate. I had to go to the bathroom, had only one pocket stuffed. Had to put my shrooms in my panties. Accidently flushed. : ( But the mad hatter gave me a couple drops that worked wonderfully. My roommate got so messed up, he was making out with this girl, then kept asking if I was the angel. We couldn't find our car as everything was frosted and frozen over. Temp I think was 22 when we got out at 3 something. Nice people gave us soup and bread while we waited for us to come down a bit and light to come so we could find our cars! What fun!!
