    Improvements? Really?
All these new improvements are slowly eroding my confidence in this system. Disappearing vines, lost messages, etc. Sorry but it has become almost impossible to work with this new, improved system. Best Wishes to All!! I'll be around alot less until the gurus actually accomplish something!! Jimmy

I picked a splice point on both tracks, deleted the redundant material in between, and fused the two into one seamless track (new d3t01), then got rid of d2t08. The nonseekable shns were converted to FLAC and any resulting SBEs from the fix were corrected with shntool. Bill Tetzeli (btet@adelphia.net) 4/7/2006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ When this source was first circulated, the flac files contained REPLAYGAIN tags. The wav files compressed inside the flac files are fine, but if you listen to the flac files themselves using a player like WinAMP, these tags cause all the tracks to be played at the same volume. That's not good for concerts where some tracks are supposed to be louder than others. There's a new version of this source available. It has exactly the same wav files; it's just the flac wrapper that's different, the wrapper doesn't have REPLAYGAIN set anymore. The new version has the same ffp file (since the wav's are the same), but a new md5 file (since the flac files are different). The md5 file for the old source is called "orig-flac-replaygain-md5"; the md5 file for the good new source is called "flac-md5". If you have a source for this that matches the ffp, you can create the new source by unflac'ing the old source and then recompressing at flac level 8 using the flac command line tool or the flac frontend. From now on, only the new version of the source should be circulated. So here is almost all of the Fall 1983 shows that are not already available for the pickens' here in the lush auditory fields of the Vineyard. I'm a big fan of 1983 and there are some real gems here. This is everything from 9/13 forward excluding 10/18. It's available, I just haven't grabbed it yet. I wanted to get some more music flowing now that the "Vineyard Wormholes" and gremlins have been put in check. A BIG thanks to Mary and all the Dead.net IT folks for all their hard work and Deadication. Thank you!! I think the Dead were on fire for all of this Fall 1983 tour, especially the Mountain shows(9/2-9/11) and the east coast stuff featured here. St Stephen makes it's last 3 appearances during this tour as I am sure most of you know. 10/17 and 10/21 are exceptional shows and the Matrices of these shows are AWESOME!! Enjoy, and remember to be kind to each other. 4 DVD's gd83-09-13.senn441.miller.fix.110772.flac16 gd83-09-18.sbd.dodd.17409.sbeok.shnf gd83-09-24.nak700.guch.poris.russjcan.98308.sbeok.flac16 gd83-09-24.sbd.set1.wiley.9201.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-08.senn441.silberman.miller.97883.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-09.senn421.daweez.d5scott.111240.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-11.sbd.bertha.ashley.26459.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-12.mtx.groves.92461.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-15.mtx.seamons.99326.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-17.fob.senn441_u87.eaton.miller.91126.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-17.mtx.seamons.ht03.92424.flac16 gd83-10-20.ficca.brennan.markezin.19515.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-21.dmtx.seamons.105419.flac16 gd83-10-21.sbd.bertha.ashley.24998.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-22.sbd.drgseeds.17274.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-30.sbd.miller.22800.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-31.sbd.tetzeli.34934.sbeok.shnf (1) JGB filler show taboot, taboot Let It Grow..........

November 1970 Vine I've decided to offer up this little 5 DVD vine. However, almost all of these are auds so listener beware. That being said, you will find some true gems in these shows. There is a pretty massive Who vine still in circulation I believe - a little like the Eric Clapton vine, it has 8-10 DVDs of material including rare shows and video. The performance from Isle of Wight is particularly memorable. Looks like that one might be availble to anyone who wants it here: http://www.dead.net/forum/little-band-shepherds-bush-who-vine Peace, JP

Hey now the 10 year anniversary is quickly approaching and I was wondering if anyone out there happens to have a copy (flac) of the July 7th and 8th 2003 Red Rock shows that would be willing to trade with me? I could have sworn I had all 5 nights. I seem to remember a vine way back when? Can anyone help me celebrate? :)

I know there is some frustration with the lack of activity here. I'm still interested in receiving vines and just from the response to my recent PF and LZ vines, there are many others who are interested too. I'd love to see a JGB 78 vine. Perusing the Jerry site, I see that there are circulating recordings for the following shows: 2/18, 2/19, 3/9, 3/10, 3/11, 3/12, 3/14, 3/16, 3/17, 3/19, 3/22, 6/11, 6/18, 8/12, 10/3, 10/7, 10/8, 10/10, 10/24, 10/26, 10/27, 10/28, and 11/3. I'd like to eliminate the poorer recordings but I don't know what's what, as Jerry's shows aren't available on Archive. If someone has these shows or wants to download them, I'd be happy to spot check them and eliminate the poor ones. Thanks!

Wilbanks, who is new to the vineyard, is sending me the '78 JGB. I was thinking of spot checking the shows for sound quality, and vining those that are worthy. Or I could just vine everything. Thoughts either way appreciated.

What I am going to do is vine everything (Wilbags says it is 4 discs) but I will spot check the shows and give sound quality grades, though with the caveat that they have only been spot checked. He sent them yday so I should have them by the weekend and will try to post the vine within a week or so after that.

Thanks to dstache and wilbanks for keeping the spluttering flame going. Add me to those interested in any and all Jerry (good week for that!). Also if anyone is looking for a vine that has died send me a PM. If I have it, it is yours. Always happy to share as others have shared with me.

Discs from Wilbags arrived yday, 4 discs, 1st disc copied fine, converted and put 1st 3 shows on I-Pod. I will listen to one or two today and over the weekend, spot check the rest and post the vine by next week.

3 discs, most of the circulating shows from the year (I had problems with some shows from Disc 4 so hopefully I can entice Wilbags to resend me those shows, and maybe another year, and include them on a later vine). I've listened to the first half dozen shows and spot-checked the rest. If you only want the absolute best sounding shows from the year, just copy the 2 star shows. If you want more, also copy the 1 star shows (and I recommend you do so). If you are a completest, copy the 0 star shows too :) As an aside, these is a hilarious 45 minute interview with Jerry, John Kahn and Donna (Buzz says just about nothing) on the 3/11 disc. 2/18 ** 2/19 * 3/9 * 3/10 * 3/11 ** 3/12 * 3/14 ** 3/16 3/17 Early & Late ** 3/19 ** 3/22 6/11 6/18 ** 8/12 * 10/7 * 10/8 * 10/10 AUD * 10/10 SBD (partial show) ** Thank you very much to Wilbags for sending me those shows. First person to sign up after Mary posts the vine, please PM your info to me. Enjoy!

Hey friends,I am getting ready to listen to the 20 year anniversary of the late summer/early fall tour. It's been quite a long time since I have started a vine so I thought why not? So here we go! The MSG shows were vined way back and died out over 4 years ago so I think they should go back into vine yard circulation again :) All shows are sbds and better yet most are Miller sbds. 09/08/93- Richfield Coliseum - Richfield, OH (dsbd.miller.28780) 09/09/93- Richfield Coliseum - Richfield, OH (dsbd.miller.28781) 09/10/93- Richfield Coliseum - Richfield, OH (dsbd.miller.28782) 09/12/93- The Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA (dsbd.miller.28783) 09/13/93- The Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA (sbd.miller.34030) 09/14/93- The Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA (sbd.miller.28786) 09/16/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (sbd.miller.94226) 09/17/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (sbd.miller.94228) 09/18/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (sbd.miller.94229) 09/20/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (sbd.samaritano.31623) 09/21/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (dsbd.miller.28765) 09/22/93- Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY (sbd.brunjes.565) 09/24/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.107840) 09/25/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.28787) 09/26/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.28788) 09/28/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.79058) 09/29/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.28800) 09/30/93- Boston Garden - Boston, MA (sbd.miller.79116)

This vine will be on a FLASH DRIVE, which I hope to have returned to me once this vine runs its course. I don't want to do a whole spiel so I'll just say to be responsible and not sign up if that is too much for you. The drive contains the rest of 1978 (10/24, 10/26, 10/27, 10/28, 11/3 and the Merl show from 10/3). It also has the 2 requested shows from 1980 (3/7 and 3/8) (I was going to put more 1980 on but I couldn't even fit all the 1983 so that will have to wait). And finally it has all of 1983 through 11/26, but not including 1/24 (I just have the perfectly fine SBD, which is perfectly fine so long as Jerry's guitar doesn't interest you, as it disappears for MOST of the show). We are working on finding the AUD for 1/24, not to mention upgrades for a handful of other shows that could probably use them. We need help with this so if you would like to help please let me know. Enjoy!

Another Flash Drive vine. I'd like to get the Flash Drive back when the vine runs its course so please be responsible. The drive contains the remaining shows from 1983 (11/27-12/13) and 1976 through 7/9 (but not including the officially released 5/21). This should be a good one and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Just thought I'd stop in to see how everyone is doing but it appears that the vineyard isn't doing well at all apart from some newer vines. I checked back a few pages to see that my last vine I posted was over a year ago (Summer 1984). Where does the time go? Very pleased to see some JGB get posted on here and thanks to all involved on that. I'm still around for some possible reseeds if needed. Just waiting on a miracle for this place to get on the up again.Hope you guys didn't think I disappeared into the ether. There's a lot I've put into this place and it has more than returned the favor to me. A lot of life challenges this year as well but I've always been able to turn to this music to get me thru. 19 months sober and still doing it one day at a time. Take care my fellow heads, -Jake

to clarify, the vine you want to start is Red Rocks. Werewolves is not presently another vine. Or is it? Please put me on the right path here... Thanks!

By request, sorry for the delay :) I have a dozen CRB shows from mainly 2014 but a couple from 2011/2012 too. Some really good stuff here. Including a couple new years shows from Denver, a show at Terrapin Crossroads,420 party at Sweetwater, etc. I'll start off by sending this to Poncho. 1. PonchoBill

Vineyard looks pretty dead these days. Always available to re-seed if new folks see something they want (assuming that I have it of course). Will always be grateful for all the great music shared through the vine, and especially for those who shared it (you know who you are). JP (JohnRParker5 at gmail dot com)

I am in dire need of shows, my HD crashed. PM me for address if you can help, and please let me know if i can help in anyway. Thanks so much. Jerry Garcia Band shows would be a plus but I'm open for anything with Jerry in it.
