An Ultimate Favorite ~just like the other ones! Incredible feel, after a spirited Althea, oh yeah! Estimated Prophet Lyrics By: John Barlow Music By: Bob Weir My time coming any day, don't worry 'bout me, no Been so long I felt this way, I'm in no hurry no Rainbows end down that highway where ocean breezes blow My time coming, voices saying, they tell me where to go (note 1) Don't you worry 'bout me--oh no no, don't worry 'bout me, no And I'm in no hurry--oh no no no, I know where to go California, preaching on the burning shore California, I'll be knocking on the golden door Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light Rising up to paradise, I know I'm gonna shine My time coming any day, don't worry 'bout me, no It's gonna be just like they say, them voices tell me so Seems so long I felt this way and time sure passing slow (note 2) Still I know I lead the way, they tell me where I go Don't you worry 'bout me--oh, no, no, don't worry 'bout me, no And I'm in no hurry--oh, no, no, no, I know where to go California, a prophet on the burning shore California, I'll be knocking on the golden door Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light Rising up to paradise, I know I'm gonna shine You've all been asleep, you would not believe me Them voices telling me, you will soon receive me We're standing on the beach, the sea will part before me (note 3) Fire wheel burning in the air You will follow me and we will ride to glory (note 4) Way up in the middle of the air And I'll call down thunder and speak the same And my words fills the sky with flame (note 5) And might and glory gonna be my name And men gonna light my way My time coming any day, don't worry 'bout me, no It's gonna be just like they say, them voices tell me so Seems so long I felt this way and time sure passing slow (note 6) My time coming any day, don't worry 'bout me, no Don't you worry 'bout me--oh, no, no, don't worry 'bout me, no And I'm in no hurry--oh, no, no, don't worry 'bout me, no And I'm in no hurry--oh, no, no, no, I know where to go One of the most excellent tunes of all time! So beautiful and picturesque and spirited! I have 100's of versions of this song memorized. I might just pick this as a last song I will ever physically hear. But i don't have to decide that right this second, I think. However, if I die right now, I"ll be all good.---------- --------> Don't worry about me NO! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Excellent JAM, thank you, all! I love it, xo! What into...the Mountains to free my soul. xo! I love it when you sing as do others I know and having Bobby and the other ones back you it's Cosmic))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))>

Donor Rap into Attics Superior feeling of goodness at the songs end. Delightful! A beautiful stream has put me there but the commercials are like um woah, I would rather be there. I will be thinking of a song from the show and hear one of the commercials and urge out to go get, "Good to the last bite Sara Lee Bread" or buying a 4G best ever phone. Newness for my show listening. It's not good and a injustice to the musical experience but it goes like that. My gratitude is immense. My brain a little bewildered but hey it's been that before. Um yeah, I was remembering that great Eyes and heading to the store for bread and a phone and a movie. And to talk to my mother like I was a prize fighter. oh yeah and that Smokestack and the children want Sara Lee, right okay. Thank you, I will be waiting for my next Time Off Request that should be in tomorrow for April 27 & 28 to be approved and then the May, June and July dates to follow. I need a miracle. Oh an please do not fret over the commercials as That's Life, XO>

Eyes Of The World Eyes Of The World Lyrics By: Robert Hunter Music By: Jerry Garcia Right outside this lazy summer home (note 1) You ain't got time to call your soul a critic, no Right outside the lazy gate Of winter's summer home Wondering where the nuthatch winter's Wings a mile long Just carried the bird away Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world But the heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own Wake now discover that you are the song that the morning brings But the heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own There comes a redeemer and he slowly, too, fades away And there follows his wagon behind him that's loaded with clay And the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom and decay And night comes so quiet, its close on the heels of the day Sometimes we live no particular way but our own And sometimes we visit your country and live in your home Sometimes we ride on your horses, sometimes we walk alone Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own Musical Excellence! Ahhh, if you could hear with my ears and with my mind, ahhhh the individual experiences that make us all one. Compounded beauty forever. Who needs a bank for the treasures and richness we have. Internal audits are proof. I love you, all xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxo At ease, now dance men and women, groove and smile!

12/14/71 In such fine sound! Love this show and the next night, too. In fact the whole bloomin' month would make an extraordinary boxed set - 11 shows counting New Year's Eve.I do wonder what '71 surprise is in store ...? I've got a T-shirt with the Hill Aud poster on it - please, uncle David, bring us the un-cherry-picked bounty from Dec '71 - you know it's a can't lose!

I've really gotten into the Flaming Lips this year, and their latest release, "The Terror," is my pick for album of the year. A couple years ago they did a cover of Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," and "The Terror" is like their own version of what TDSotM was all about. If you're a Lips fan (or if you're not), I highly recommend giving "The Terror" is listen. Actually, give it a few listens; it gets better every time you hear it.

I like to do a Top Ten list every year and these are mine for 2013. Not doing it as a critic saying they are the best, rather it is what I enjoyed and found myself listening to most. In no real order: 1 Tedeschi Trucks Band - Made Up Mind 2 Ry Cooder - Live in San Francisco 3 Pat Metheny - /Tap 4 Bill Frisell - Big Sur 5 Jonathan Wilson - Fanfare 6 Bombino - Nomad 7 Dawes - Stories Never End 8 Honey Island Swamp Band - Cane Sugar 9 Tommy Malone - Natural Born Days 10 Vince Gill and Paul Franklin - Bakersfield Honorable mention: Bob Dylan - Another Self Portrait Red Baraat - Shruggy Ji & Big Talk Dumpstaphunk - Dirty Word And the best live show I saw...BY FAR...was Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Joy Theater

I was also fortunate enough to get to experience Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Overture Center this autumn. They played their hearts out for a very grateful, gray-haired audience. Angel from Montgomery > Sugaree > AFM was definitely a standout. I agree with the "best live show" sentiment.

12/30/69 A perennial fave - jeez, this show has everything I love about the Dead from this year. Maybe, just maybe, this is one of the ones we'll see inna Dave's Pick next year. If you haven't yet heard this precious jewel one, please, don't deprive yourself any longer.

Mose Alison "Sings" 2/13/57 Nice recent remaster. Stan Getz "Jazz Samba" 2/13/62 ***** Sonny Rollins "The Bridge" 2/13/63 If you've got it listen to it - too much! I'm going to wait on the 2/13 & 14/70 'til tomorrow - you know, Dick's 4 - most definitely one of the Dicks I know by number.

I downloaded Dick's Pick Number 3 a couple nights ago. Needless to say, I thoroughly have enjoyed it. It's hard to go wrong with anything from 1977. I've had the "To Terrapin" concert recorded on May 28th for a while. It's interesting to listen to one show that is only six days earlier and it sounds quite a bit different. I'm not that obsessed with sound quality. I'm old enough to remember the latter days of vinyl. In the early 70's records were thick and they were high quality. By the time I was a kid in the late 70's and early 80's the records were thin and they skipped constantly. I remember a copy of the Rolling Stones "Some Girls" that skipped. I do think vinyl has a warm feel to it though but I hated having to go back to the record store all the time because the album skipped. I also remember putting a penny on the needle to try to "groove" the record. I'm becoming a fan of gdradio.net. My subscription to XM Radio has lapsed. I think gdradio does a great job of mixing it up. What else have I been listening too? The Rolling Stones "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" live from 1969. I also went on a Chris Cornell kick listening to a lot of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. Was the Seattle grunge sound the last great burst for rock music? I don't know. I think some of Cornell's stuff ranks up there with all the other classic bands that happened to be lucky enough to be born earlier in time. I love the version of "Dancing in the Streets" on DP #3. Estimated Prophet and Eyes of the World are also stellar. I recently listened to one of the concerts I attended in person on the Archive. It made me realize how fast time goes. At 46 I'm neither old nor young. I am kind of in a strange middle ground. My back lets me know I'm not getting any younger. I am interested in some of the Europe '72 recordings. I have "100 Year Hall" and I think it kicks butt. Would love to hear from my old friend Matt J if he ever surfs these boards. He took me to my first show and was a "real deadhead". Peace.

Linkin Park "Somewhere I Belong" (When this began) I had nothing to say And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me (I was confused) And I let it all out to find That I’m not the only person with these things in mind (Inside of me) But all that they can see the words revealed Is the only real thing that I’ve got left to feel (Nothing to lose) Just stuck, hollow and alone And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own [Chorus] I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real I wanna let go of the pain I’ve felt so long (Erase all the pain till it’s gone) I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along Somewhere I belong And I’ve got nothing to say I can’t believe I didn’t fall right down on my face (I was confused) Looking everywhere only to find That it’s not the way I had imagined it all in my mind (So what am I) What do I have but negativity ’Cause I can’t justify the way, everyone is looking at me (Nothing to lose) Nothing to gain, hollow and alone And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own [Repeat Chorus] I will never know myself until I do this on my own And I will never feel anything else, until my wounds are healed I will never be anything till I break away from me I will break away, I'll find myself today [Repeat Chorus] I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belong I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belong Somewhere I belong
