Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from 1973, 1984 and 1994.
Our first selection is music from El Paso, Texas, on 11/23/73 as part of the terrific Fall Tour of 1973, one of the creative highpoints of the Grateful Dead's performing caree. From this show, we have the big second set jam featuring He's Gone>Truckin'>Jam>The Other One>Space>Me and Bobby McGee.
Next is the entire first set from the second night of a six night stand at the Berkeley Community Theatre in Berkeley, CA on 10/28/84, featuring Cold Rain And Snow; My Brother Esau ; Althea ; C C Rider ; Bird Song ; Looks Like Rain > Deal. There are some master-tape dropouts on the first song, but otherwise this sounds pretty good. This run of shows is famous for it being the first official tapers' section.
Lastly this week is music from 10/19/94 at Madison Square Garden, the last-ever Grateful Dead concert at MSG in New York. From this show, we have Samson and Delilah, So Many Road, Saint Of Circumstance, Terrapin Station>Jam.
Be sure to join us next week for more tunes from the vault.
