    Dave's Picks volume 36

My fams and I were quite surprised to learn that we're in the picture on the inside of the CD case of Vol 36! I'm the one playing the guitar on the steps. The folks just above me formed the core of our little scene around a band we put together in highschool. It was quite a trip hearing from so many friends who received the CD yesterday and opened it up to see us sitting there as young kids, doing our thing.

Special shout-out to TimDawg for hitting me up first and letting me know, and special thanks to Dave for selecting this show, probably that pic, and for creating a really cool moment that was shared by many great people yesterday. We really appreciate it.

Fun factoid - I have no idea whose guitar that was, what I was playing at the time, or really any recollection of that scene. I'm going to trust that we had a great show just the same. We always did.

    Peace to the JugBand fam

    Jerry
My last show with Jerry. Great drumz. We sat right behind the stage and had an awesome view of all of the manic pranksters doing their thing. Everybody joined in.

We saw Werner Klemperer (Colonel Klink from "Hogan's Heroes") in the hotel bar after the show...very weird

Too bad he didn't join them for The Mighty Quinn. He would have been a welcome addition. I always liked his monocle.

This has to be the best Black Peter ever performed.

I remember crying my eyes out during Bird Song and Looks like rain at this show. It's beautiful, powerful stuff when lyrics have such profound meaning in your own life. Gone are the days, but it was great while the time lasted.
