Thomas Wolfe Center is the venue, tickets on sale now thru GDTS, to public Friday the 13th. @55.50 per plus handling charges. It looks like no guests, an evening with Bob and the dogs. If you are in the area, come on by.

I don't know more at this point. "Circumstances have necessitated that all scheduled tour dates for Bob Weir & RatDog are being cancelled. This applies to all dates on the summer tour starting on Thursday, August 14 in Boston through September 14 in Nashville and also includes the Jamaica event in January of 2015. Full and complete refunds are available at place of purchase. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience." More here.

sucks, your spirit is willing, but the flesh is not, things that you used to be able to do, you still want to do, but your body gives out just when you start to feel good. You can't play, or dance, or stay up all night long anymore. You fall asleep at the drop of a hat at the weirdest times. Your attention span slips when you least expect it. You stagger and fall without even trying and you don't bounce right back like before. The most difficult part about the whole aging thing is that you don't realize that you are not the indestructible thing that you use to be when you were young, you still want to do all of those things, but you can't and it is depressing and can get you down. There are several big changes in one's life, like the seasons, and fall and winter can be the hardest. Bobby I wish you a long life and pray that you can find the strength to get over this last hurdle of life and live to a very old age, you know our love will not fade away and I will respect any decision you make about your future.

all phone and internet ticket sales will be cancelled and refunded automatically. If you paid by credit card, look for the refund shortly on your statement or online at your card site. Was really looking forward to this tour, I had a feeling it would be the last time I would see Bobby and was going to have a real blowout party inviting all the old tribe to one last shakedown. Alas, it is not to be. This really puts a damper on the whole 50th anniversary thing, I will now go and purchase the 1990 box set with the cash I will receive from my ticket refund. Not the same thing, but close enough to pretend.

family and friends is all we need sometimes. thanks to the boys (and girl or two) in the band we have all had the opportunity to meet up in some special places for some impossibly kind, generous, loving, spacey, adventurous, magic music and meeting of the minds, hearts and souls. It Mr. Bob Weir's time to enjoy his family, his friends and his lovely redwoods for awhile. Fifty years on the road can certainly wear one out. Its a long deserved vacation. Bob we all miss your music but, we can wait until your ready to share it with us again. Many warm wishes and lots of sunshine daydreams are heading your way from all of us here in crazy town. Its been an honor following you all these years.
