UK deadhead looking for friends from way back:1989 thru 1991 !!
Hey folks,I'm a british deadhead who recently got married and moved back to the states after 20 years(now living in Tennessee). Between 1989 and 1991 I was on and off tour and attended around 75 shows in total. I had some good friends back then and I'm wondering if any of them are still deadheads or linked up to the scene in some way? Its been ages but if anyone knows these folks please let them know I'm on this forum and ask them to get in touch. 'Greg' lived in Washington state and drove a black chevy van to every show in 1991. He had long black hair and beard. He said the Deadheads was his only family because sadly he'd lost his real family in a car crash. We toured together in the Fall tour 1991 and drove from the West coast to 3 shows in Ohio, and then the 9 night run at MSG in NYC. Those were my last shows and I flew back to England after that. In Spring tour 1989 I knew this cool couple Greg and Christine; we toured the last half of Spring tour 1989 starting in Cleveland, and going to Milwaukee, Chicago, Minnesota Stpaul. We then travelled back to the West coast, spending a week at Cougar Hot springs on route, and finally ending up in Santa Cruz, where we lived all summer. Actually theres a whole bunch of folks I knew back from tour in 1989, some of which I'm still in touch with, but mostly lost contact with: Chris and TJ (the hitchhikers to Atlanta), Chris and Amy, Chet, Jim (who drove us all the way in his van)? Anybody still in touch with these folk from '89? Suuch a long shot, but hey, just though it would be interesting to post... Lookin' forward to some 2010 shows... Jules the astrologer

So who did I meet at Further on 9/19/09?
I was the guy in the floor level crip section in a purple wheelchair. Names I remember: Wayne and Judy. Wayne saw his first show in '68, Judy around '90 like me. Then there was the bald dude with the iPhone I talked to of and on through most of the show, and then there was the usher who volunteered for the shows who I had a really nice chat with and who basically danced the night away as far as I could tell - and did her "job" at the same time. Neat! Oh, and the guy in the white shirt I chatted with on BART on the way to the show. Anyway, I had a great time and you all were beautiful. :) Please contact me if you are comfortable doing so, even if I didn't mention you.

Hey Now Id like to find my old tapper friend. Last seen in the 80s. We use to tape shows in the early 80s. David lived in SF and we where the first to ever record Digital Dead using PCM decoder and a beta deck to store on. I have not seen David in many years and would enjoy finding him. If you or anyone you know might have been a taper in the 80s they would for sure have known David and I. Thanks Ron

This does NOT constitute legal advice but I believe that requiring your tenant to be single and not married is considering housing discrimination. Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act), as amended, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, FAMILIAL STATUS, and handicap.

Age is also protected from discrimination by the FHA, and depending on local ordinances sexual orientation may also be protected. I spent some time as a "secret shopper" scoping out apartments and houses for the KY state people here in Louisville. ********************************************* I have a sigfile! --> www.kindveggieburritos.com *********************************************

Haha, good point Johnman, "single" may mean one person and not "unmarried." And a studio may be too small for more than one person. But not necessarily, depending on the square footage. I live in NYC and my wife and I (along with our dog and 2 cats) live in a pretty small one bedroom. I bet that Naples studio is bigger than our 1 bdrm. Again, this is NOT legal advice, but there may also be an exception to the housing discrimination laws if you are renting out space in the home in which you live.

Looking for Laid Back Renter in Naples, Florida Are there any cool people in Naples or wanting to move to sunny Southwest Florida? I have a studio for rent in my house with a private entrance. Check out the link to see the house. Personality is the most important thing I am looking for in a roomate. I'd like to find someone with similar interests just so my tranquil oasis stays that way. Email me or call if intersted. Not sure what I will charge for rent yet, but we'll work something out. Email-forever.young.67@hotmail.com or call (239) 206-9297 http://www.kimsellsnaples.com/PropertyDetails.aspx?HomeID=208042928 Please call me directly, not the realtor. The house is for sale, but it's most likely not going to sell anytime soon.

Anyone here that attended Cortland in the good old mid '70's? I know there were quite a few of us Dead Heads there during that time. I was there '74 to '78.

Looking for an old friend: Dan Ireland, I worked with him in Antarctica, when he was in the Navy. Serious Deadhead, brought lots of fun and laughter to a dull, boring field camp on the 'Ice'. He's from Indiana, went to Ball State, was or is married to Amy. If you know him, have him email the Troll, at gecasjs@boreal.org.Peace!

I think that's his name. He was the black man who had the psychedellic school bus during the 87-90 tour era. Bro, I haven't seen you in a LONG time. And also the beautiful girl who's dog was named Asmundo. Sorry, I don't remember your name. Or anyone else who knew me then. I am Ron who had the blue Toyota truck with the little camper shell. That's my wife in my photo taken at Burning Man 2008. Email me ron@ronboyer.com

Hey now! I still really miss my old buddy, room mate, tour partner and 'brother' Gary Bennett. His last known location was around Howell, NJ about 15 years ago. He has an older brother named Bruce and Gary's son's name is Bobby (Robert, Rob, etc.). Tell him my old nickname and he'll know who I am - my nickname was 'Sheepdog' Any info, please let me or him know. Thanks! We had a green and white dodge sportsman A100 pop-top camper van with a 2x10 board for a front bumper, and toured from Giants stadium to Mile High. A guy named Marty met up with us I think in Chicago and left his friends to travel with us for the tour before he was starting a teaching job. I always wondered what happened to him....he was a nice guy and was so happy to come along with us. Camping in Colorado with an almost full moon by a river was so fun...and the Mile High show was really great. If you're out there Marty, PM me.

Hi I've just joined the site, and just started listening to a few albums, I bought a 1972 orange westfillia camper van back in june and was told by the garage she is from georgia possibly lilburn, she was also possibly once owned by a member of the band???? If any one could help me out with any details that would be great, it would be nice to trace some of her history, I've named her chantal after a friend of mine who sadly passed away the day I bought her, she would of been 37 this year aswell. She has very distinctive large tribe of butterflys stickers on both front doors and she has all her original orange check westie interior Jess
