It's spacy and a thrill to listen to, if you know what you're listening to. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Hope it's happy, healthy and safe for everybody -- from the Macy's parade to packing Turkey sandwiches on Monday morning! Ain't that America?

Sing the Delta I must confess that I've lost track of whatever message Randall Lard is attempting to send us in this thread. I'm afraid that if I go back and piece it together it'll turn out to be a prophecy of the apocalypse. Or a recipe for cheesecake. Or not.

Been listening to the Frank Black compilation "93-03." The iTunes/digital version is far superior to the CD version thanks to 12 extra live tracks on the second disc. Personally, I prefer Frank Black/Black Francis's work with the Pixies, his last couple solo albums haven't been all that great, and that Grand Duchy album was pretty bad, but his work between '93 and '03--both as a solo artist and with the Catholics--was really quite good.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/taperrob Phil and Friends My gratitude immense and smile resting perfectly above my jaw. Deep into a free flowing Eyes I was reminded about the one set in the sand. I'm exhausted and knew karma had to have something at the end of this very difficult day. Ahhh, thanks-all, yeah thanks to each and every of the all. Thanks for shering the stream, too I am letting go and will care of those things that are harmful later. It's just all good - right now. XO

Just caught Umphrey's McGee set at Bonnaroo. I can't be the only fan here! also checked out Andrew Bird and the Hands of Glory. I've been a fan of his for a long time, but never seen him "live." Just an incredible musician. Another edit: Nikhil Banerjee playing sitar.

English Oceans This is becoming my favorite Truckers album, love the more balanced split between Hood songs and Cooley songs, including Cooley singing a Hood song. Plus there's this Space kind of thing to close out the album, very unexpected! Haven't posted here in a very long time, nice to see Mr Lard is still carrying the torch!

Today would have been dad's 86th - Coltrane's "Standard Coltrane", "Stardust" and "Bahia" 7/11/58. Fave tune of the nine from this session - "Something I Dreamed Last Night".Roland Kirk "Kirk's Works" Jack McDuff on B3.r 7/11/61 John Patton "Blue John" Similar vein as RRK. 7/11/63 Garcia Saunders discs 3 & 4 from Keystone mini-box. "Like a road" 7/11/73 Marshall Tucker "Where We All Belong" live stuff 7/11/74 Lucinda Williams "Car Wheels" companion live disc 7/11/98 jumped the gun on 7/11/69 - it's been a '69 Summer. Please, Dave, make the 11th bonus disc worthy!
