Dave , As far as your picks lately have come around , great job friend .... Hearing 1995 , May Vegas is great . The band really kicked ass , despite being 3 months from their painful finale .... I recently realized Dave , that I saw my first show in 1994 , a year you covered about 5 weeks ago here . And it's been 20 - !! - years already since that date , and it's incredible how 20 years have gone by , and those great times had are remembered with joy . - Thanks : ) * Cheers with the Thelma theatre ' 69 show . It's the best selection out of the vault in a while . -

    Late Dead!
The bias against later Dead is without merit. Dave L. is very careful to not step on Pigpen's toes, but he doesn't hold back in trashing late Dead. I suspect his personal first love for the Dead started to fizzle in the 90's, but not all of us shared that fizzling -- and enjoy a '95 show warts and all in the same way that old Heads enjoy primal Dead warts and all.

    more 1994 & 1995!!!
thanks, Mr. Gans for NOT BEING BIASED AGAINST 94 & 95...(like that other dave...) this is possibly the best Unbroken Chain, in that Garcia is present & playing throughout, as well as Weir sounding like he had finally settled on exactly what to play on UC, which, like Jer, he sounds pretty lost on the 1st few versions... the "Jam" is actually a full-blown Spanish Jam!!! which is particularly sick, especially the way each band member enters into the jam... the boyz are on, dig it... MORE 1994 & 1995 PLEASE!!!!! thank you... ♤
