I think that most people hang on to everything jerry says like some profound tidbit will change their life. I think that pressure is part of the reason hes not with us. Make your own thing happen. He did. Youll get it .Its out there. Phil , Bobby ,Mickeyand Billly are still doin it! Peace BTW David u rock1

Jerry is not the only person who has been under that kind of pressure, and not everyone chooses to deal with it the way he did. I agree that he was not prepared for that kind of stress and that it contributed to his downfall, but there were many, many other factors and many people (not you, capt) choose to make Jerry a victim. It's not the whole story, which in its entirety is much more complicated.

DG , great program . I have a couple of comments for thyself . 1st , congrats on your album The weirdest .. Looks intriguing . Will have to check it out in the very nearfture . I had a right old laugh when i read the title ( LOL ] - Lately on your GDH broadcasts , 1054 & 1055 , you aired much of June 22 , 1974 . That s real great as 6.23 was basically the only show from Miami available out of those 2 nights . And that .. in the band looks delightful - The music on this week s 540 is really good , thinking you put it together bck in early 99 . begonias > fotm is real good , but cc rider is probably the most kick a** version i ve heard . Good ear D . 1980 is really a balanced out , really good year . - I would request some live King Crimson from the early 70s , but I ll have to take that request over to their web site . They have a splendid collectors club , similar to the Deads picks , and Robert Fripps guitar makes for a good alternate to Jerry on many ocassion . thank you . If you know KC s music , i d enjoyed to see the Dead play sometime a song like Starless . g nite
