Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we'll have music from 1978, 1983 and 1985.

Our first selection this week is from the final night of a three night run in Chicago on 2/1/78, featuring a great combination from this era, Estimated>He's Gone. This was part of a short, six night tour of the Midwest, with shows in Chicago, Madison, Milwakee, and Cedar Falls.

Next up is the end of the show from 9/4/83 in Park West, UT, featuring Spanish Jam>The Wheel>The Other One>Wharf Rat>Around and Around>One More Saturday Night, U.S. Blues.

Lastly this week is music from the tail end of summer from 1985, on 9/3/85 in Kansas City, featuring the end of the show: Space>Nobody's Fault But Mine>Truckin'>Smokestack Lightning>Comes A Time>Lovelight, It's All Over Now Baby Blue.

Be sure to stop by next week for more tunes from the vault.

This is a pleasant surprise. The summer 85 sound will remain one of my favorite, as I was an active, deadicated fan at that time. Thanks for putting up this selection!

Indeed, that was a beautiful night at the Starlight Amphitheatre. The Starlight and the night before at the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City were super places with great music and absolutely cozy little places. The seniors at the concession stands also loved the Deadheads and the atmosphere these nights were fantastic. Those little venues beckoned the feel of places like "the Frost" and the Greek Theatre. Oh what fun there was to be had ...............

I know not everyone will even know what I'm talking about, but my player is working again and I am super stoked. Thanks for everything Dead.net!

...I was able to narrow the problem down, eliminate the problem and now it works. I am going to reserve final judgment until I am sure the computer does not have inherent hardware problems. As of right now, it looks like the problem was software related, and specific to my system. (and not an issue with dead.net) It seems to have taken reinstalling the operating system with a fresh set of drivers to get it to work. I am pleased as punch it is working still. (fingers crossed)
