Grateful Dead

I was fortunte to experience seven dead shows, and of them all this one was the standout performance. just beautiful

My brother hooked me up with his 8th row seat as an early birthday gift. I was almost dead center, and I could see John Kerry and his wife close by in the audience. People were just folding up the chairs on the floor and stacking them neatly against the barriers and dancing like crazy. The band was tight and strong all night from beginning to end, but the Terrapin was where it all peaked. I was jostling for dancing space with a jock dude next to me all night, but by the end it was like we were long lost pals. The rest of the night was just as magical and fun.

We were a couple of rows behind a group of deaf folks. This girl (Lori?) was signing the lyrics to the songs...it was entrancing. Awesome show!

I remember seeing that girl signing the lyrics on previous nights in that '94 run as well. Heads groovin' beneath Stanley Cup banners. A great Help>Slip>Franklin's, So Many Roads, Scarlet>Fire, Terrapin. Jerry was firing on all cylinders. And Bobby busted the acoustic out for Me & My Uncle> Big River. The entre first set was featured across these two broadcasts. My favourite Althea is from this night.

I took my roommate who had not seen the Dead since the late seventies. We took the subway --- can you dig it!!! His brother grew the quality bud in northern New England. Best stuff I ever smoked. Had a great time. Hung out "high up" in the back ----- great for sound in the old Garden. We used to play music on our stoop in Somerville together. I miss those days and most greatly Jerry Garcia.The combination of the leads and the acid ,going in synch with pure adrenaline was "out of sight"!!!

I remember running into a friend of mine in the hall after the first set-- the biggest grin on our faces- could not believe the first set- couldn't really speak. The second set was the capstone to a perfect night. We still talk about this night every time we meet up.

this was the only show I was able to catch on this run--but what a show!--The crowd response is so awesome at east coast shows--I remember Weir looked like"Holy shit a few times and Jerry with this big grin on his face whenever we roared.(That's what it's all about,baby!!

Traveled from PSC,NH in a pimpin Limo. One friend didn't have a ticket. He got in- after buying a fake, then getting an another. Then the show- WOW, what an experience. Who goes to a Dead show in a Limo? We did. P.S. I'm pretty sure we went to Friday's show.......

This was the last time I ever saw the boys. I caught the three previous nights and wasn't sure if I was up for seeing a fourth (I was just exhausted), but a friend was coming in from the western part of the state. We met up beforehand and, while walking around the Garden, I decided there was no way I was going to part w/my ticket. From the moment the lights went down, the place felt special. Then they kicked into that epic H>S>F opener and it was all over. I knew without a shadow of a doubt it was going to be an unforgettable night. I never danced as much or as hard as I did that night. When it was all over, I couldn't wipe the grin off my face. I'll never forget walking down Causeway towards the train station and thinking that if I never saw them again, it'd be OK because they went out on such a high note. I didn't bother going in the next couple nights because I knew they'd never live up to what I'd just been a part of. As it turned out, my initial thought turned out to be the case. I never saw them again. It's still OK, though. For my last show, this was just exactly perfect. I still crack an ear to ear smile whenever I think back to 10/1/94...

Im from Boston (not originally) and I am fortunate to have seen my first show in the Garden in '81 and last in '94. I have to second the comments on this night's version of Althea... a monster favorite of mine. I miss Jerry and miss the old Boston Garden.

This was a great show, killer setlist and funky grooves, probably my most listened to of the ones we saw.

I remember this show and was total dumbfounded to find this show on the "mega meal" Box set menu. For me the highlight was So Many Roads and Terrapin, of course, drums. I remember the show to be lack luster lacking the firing punch and adventure. Then again by 94-95 those type of shows were "Days Between" from anything prior to 1991.

....so good. Good HSF and Walkin', but the Althea!! Awesome take and a good showing for the later years. Bobby breaks out acoustic for MAMU->Big River. Nice. That's as far as I've made it....
