    2nd Dead show, 1st NRPS
    Was at the early show, John Dawson introduced "Henry". Rollicking fantastic double bill. Right around the release of "Workingmans Dead". High energy from both bands. Spring time in the East Village,NYC was an open air circus. The Airplane played Central Park band shell May 3rd. That was amazing! Kent State the next day. May 5th thousands of anti-war marchers marched from Washington Square Park to the U.N. Building (House of Mica). Robert Hunter wrote with love and creativity at the core. What a time to be young, alive and participating in history.The recordings from 5-15-70 give some feeling of the intensity of the times. Thank you Pigpen, Thank you Jerry, Thank you Marmaduke. "Cosmic Charlie how do you do?"
