I have checked with the licensing folks, who confirm that selling this piece would be trademark infringement, as the SYF is a registered trademark. Should you wish to pursue a licensing arrangement, as many have done over the years, I'll put you in touch... Thanks. It IS a real nice piece!

Is it legal to use the SYF image in a sculpture? I made a cast aluminum wall hanging last week for myself (something I have wanted for a long time) and was wondering how legal it is to sell these things on lot? What if any are the copyright laws with the SYF logo? My piece is a original sculpture made by me molded by me and cast in alum. by me. I posted a photo of it on the fan photos page under fan art.

i am so pissed. who ever runs that dead.net site is wacked in the head. my 3rd disk dont play, and supervisor at 877-dead.net she told me i got to REBUY it. i paid good hard cash for my show CD at the show. and was told, i had to repay to get my disc. this is after losing me to a phone line that cuts me off. (22 minutes, 3rd call, it cuts me off, i had to call back a 4th time) well, why do i need to REBUY a broken item i BOUGHT already!?? i was told i could "hear" the show 15 minutes after the show, i am still waiting, 5 days later. the phonelines didnt work all weekend, then, i get "we dont handle Concert CD's here, you have TO REBUY it, so we can download it in your puter!!" well, thats all good'n fine, but i bought a CD, not a download!! and the only contact number on the CD is dead.net, if you contact them, as it is stated on package, and they dont handle the CD's sold at show time, how to i get this 3rd disc replaced without spending more then the show ticket? i have never felt so used and dirty dealing with a grateful dead vendor, as i did with dead.net. and i still didnt get an answer. i was told by manegment, that they will take a report, and take it to upper management, and i will get a call back within 3 to 5 days! thats over a WEEK AFTER THE SHOW, and bad CD. do you wait a week, to get the steak replaced that was over cooked in a restaurant? well, why should i wait aweek, to talk to manegment about a CD i bought, that just displays "read error" no 3rd CD, only 1st song after drums, no last half of set, no encore. i spent a lot of this same time frame of the show in RockMed, now i missed the show 2x. after all this negitive Karma with dead.net, i dont feel i will even listen to the show, can i sell my flawed faulty CD back to the dead please?

on a lighter note, when rockmed people asked if i know why my wife got this bad, i told them she was too sick for raise the flag tour, now once again, she was sick, but we felt she was well enough, but we guessed wrong as it seams. then i told him it was the bands fault, if they did shoreline 2 times a year, 2 or 3 nights in a row, i could of taken her when she was feeling better. this 3 shows in 13 years at shoreline just isnt enough. we just had to go, we never know when they tour together again, like all outdoor venues, rain or shine, the show must go on. tix was bought, with no foreseen time of a return, we risked it. in truth, it was worth it, a bit scarry there, on the encore, i couldnt fight the crowd on the lawn, to try to find her, and if i left in the encore, i would of had to leave her alone, in a panic. i had to wait for lights to come on, to get help for her, without leaving her side. RockMed is the best. i wont get a lawn t9icket again, if they return, i like lawn at shoreline, but the wife is too ill. i sit in lines for hours'n hours, to get tix the day they come out, (now it is prebuy online, as a fanclub member, same thing) but the dead, shoreline, the lawn is where it is at, you cant dance in the seats. i miss the old cal-expo shows, with the open area in front of stage and the seating in the back. i always felt that the dance floor should be in front.

Hey now, please tell the boys that David Nelson should be asked to play witj tjem. I believe he was actually an original Warlock. He has played in more bands with Jerry than anyone in the dead. He has similar style as Jerry but not the same. He is also a familiar face that we have known for forty years. Bringing out new people,(Warren, Molo, etc distracts me more than adds to my trip. I wouldn't even know David was there he would fit in so well..

I am new but have no idea where to get help. I was shorted an item with a big order from the store and after many many attempts over the course of a month I can't get anyone with the store to respond to an email or anything. Are there real people working over there and what is a customer to do with a real issue when they won't provide a phone number to use or respond to any email inquiries. Any help to find a live body at the Dead store would be very much appreciated. I hate to give up on them all together and just get a refund from my cc company, but what choice do they leave me. Thank you and happy bird day, Greg

A friend sent me this link for tour tickets. I can not link to it through this site. I also signed up for email notification and have received nothing. The information in this link says they are only accepting money orders. Is this legit or is someone pulling a scam? http://gdtstoo.com/GDTSTOOTheDeadSpring09.html

is legitimate. It's the descendant of Grateful Dead Ticket Service. They're handling the mail order, which is different from the presale.

I am trying to help my boyfriend get a book published, with a fresh spin. He has taken hundreds of amzing photos of fans over the years - and has an impressive and interesting collection to share. We have been told that Jill is in charge of all things related to the band and mechandizing. We would like to get some official endorcement if possible - permission to use lyrics - and maybe even have it offered through the official website if possible. He's not looking to make a fortune on it - just feels it's time the photos got out there for others to appreciate. If anyone knows how to contact Jill, I would really appeciate it. I tried Google, but got no-where. And, if she is not the right person and there is someone else - that name and contact info would be equally appreciated. Thanks a lot! Carmen

for permissions, licensing, etc., go to the Ice Nine Publishing site, www.iceninepublishing.com If you're looking for Jill personally, you'll probably have better luck on phillesh.net.

Can anyone tell me exactly what "pre-sale" is all about? Can anyone purchase tix at this time? I've searched for answers to this question and come up empty. The only thing I found is the GDTSTOO site which while legitimate looks like a vendor. Is that the only place to go through to get pre-sale tickets? Thanx.

I think this will work for you....http://gdtstoo.com...from that page you can get all the venues and what GDTSTOO will be charging for tickets.......Hope this is not going to be the only option........Even tho this is what we did in tn\the old days...

Just go to the GDTSTOO site and follow along with the instructions, they even have a u-tube video of the procedure. Lengthy process but like Marye said it's all good, tommorrow is the first day you can mail in, all the letters can not have a post mark before the 13. In the Great White North up here it takes 7 to 10 days by regular mail to reach Cali. So ya gotta send it by Priority post to get it there in time.

I created an account for the pre-sale, but saw nothing to get an access code - which some info says I need. It's hard to read parts of the instructions cause it's purple print on black background. How do I get an access code and how does the pre-sale work? Please tell me I don't have to go back to mail order and cashiers checks ; ) Help!!!

This is really frustrating! After waiting on the puter for hours, while the musictoday.com website was down, finally got on only to find all presale tix for the showz i needed were UNAVAILABLE. So, back to mail order, and their site is down too, as well as busy circuits on phone for them. I miss the days of yore! :)

Hi, I'm trying to purchase tickets to the May 7th show in Denver. I'm disabled, and I need handicap accessible seating. However, when ordering online, I'm unable to specify my seats. Do you know if there is any mechanism in place to order handicap accessible seating as a part of the pre-sale? Is there a phone number I can call?

Does anyone know if the D.C. show will be an end stage or a center stage? When you look at the Verizon Center seating chart (from ticketsnow) it shows the center one first, but there is also a link for the end stage. Just curious. I'm going to show up either way!!

Dudes, the online pre-sale was a fucking disaster. I played by the rules, took precious time off of work and by the time I was able to log into your system, all seats were sold out. WTF? I want a back stage for me and my lady for free and access to the piles of coke in the VIP room. Isn't there a more adult way to get a decent seat? JFC.

Hi All!! Been about all things Dead for a long while now...but new to the forum. Just wondering if anyone on here had any thoughts on the Relix magazine? I used to love the magazine back in the day when it had all the art work, fun articles, games and stuff. I gave up my subscription a couple years ago because it seemed I wasn't reading much of the material in it. Just wondering if they made any improvements or added any depth to it the last couple years. Thanks....Have a Grateful night!!

Hi, I just wanted to let someone in the Dead Administration know how terrible the online ticket sales service was from a Systems Administrators perspective. I have been working on computers for more than 15 years and with today's technology there is simply no reason an online order should take 45 minutes other than completely incompetent administrators or technical staff. Anyways I am certain that other heads that went the online route had similar gripes - but as someone that knows the tech - that was the worst experience online I have ever had. It needs to be fixed. Sincerely tmcguinness
