    Not sure about the hotel
Drove up from Cincy. No clue what hotel I stayed in. There was a pancake house next to it. We lost power for a bit and ventured out into the halls to find it was lined with folks tossing glow-in-the-dark bouncy balls all over the place. I had tickets for the second night, so it was cool. The blizzard was crazy. I'd never seen major lightning during a snow storm like that. I'll never forget that night . . .well, most of it.

    Bummer
Only in Ohio will they cancel a Dead show due to weather. I agree The Holiday Inn was an epic party that night but I know we would have all rather been dancin' inside the coliseum.

    Boy Howdy!
Yeah. Some 'Cold, Rain and Snow' for sure. Security took my girlfriend's camera at the door. Later the Dead encored with 'I Fought the Law'. Which was also a comment, I am sure, on their fruitless arguing with the authorities about canceling the show. Come on without, come on within!

Anyone out there go to this cancelled show? If yes did you party at the Holidayinn that night? What a crazy night that was for me and 3 of my closest friends. A night I will never forget. The dj booth was overtaken by dead heads with some killer bootleg tapes!!!!! Then a great show the next night!!! I sure do miss them times!!!

I was there with some friends. We came from Pittsburgh on the PA turnpike, which was closed to anyone that was not already on the road. We stayed at a local hotel, but I'm not sure if it was the Holiday Inn. I remember that the next day the only place that was open for lunch was Hooters.

Yeah- drove all the way up from Indy to the Richfield exit off 271 before we were told the show was canceled. Turned back south and stopped at the first rest stop, and scored 2 tickets for Sunday night's show. Thank you to those kind heads who scored us the tix. Missed the Holiday Inn episode however; sounds like it was a good time. Appropriately enough, they opened Sunday night's show with.........anybody?..........Bueller?

Yeah - We came in from Detroit and were at the Red Roof Inn in Independence - it was a damn shame we missed it because for a few of my friends it would have been their first concert.

A cancelled show at Richfield due to snow, now that's crazy man. I was not there but I remember the storm too well! I had went back home to rest my bones for a few months. A good friend who was in the area had tickets and he had called me almost in tears because that was the only show he was going to make for the whole year! I was resting my bones in northern New England and we had like 4 feet of cold rain and snow there! But it always snows in Northeast Ohio, no need to stop a show!!! Another time I will share a story about walking from the Holiday Inn to the Colliseum! What a long strange trip that was!!! Peace.

The holiday inn was transformed into and am amazing oasis - never seen anything like it.. TIx for Sunday we not to be found but my brother and I have 10th row center. Right before their Cold Rain and Snow opener, Jerry look at me and Mike (my brother) and smiled like the cat that ate the canary - and then it began.....

I was there! It was amazing! The Djs with the bootlegs and the staff letting people sleep in the lobby! The halls were filled with Heads and tanks! Do you remember the snow tunnels and igloos in the courtyard? The whole night was amazing followed by another amazing show the next night! Driving in the blizzard on the way in was its own lightshow! I thought I was just trippin that my butt was warm but really it was the first time I caught a ride in a car with heated seats. Hahaha great times.
