    4 Tickets for sale/trade - Wachovia Spectrum
Hey all, here is my conundrum: I am a big Dead fan and was super excited to go see them both nights at the Spectrum this May. I logged into livenation this morning at 10am, waited in cue, and bought a pair of tickets to both nights. 5 minutes after submitting my order, my girlfriend informs me that that weekend is the same weekend her brother is getting married, and that I am in the wedding. Long story short, I have 2 tickets to both nights, and need to unload them. I would like to trade any pair of the tickets below for a pair of tickets to see the Dead play at Madison Square Garden on 4/25. Ticket information: May 1, 2009 Level Section Row Seat(s) ----- ------- ----- ---------- 2 224 13 5-4 May 2, 2009 Level Section Row Seat(s) ----- ------- ----- ---------- 3 302 12 10-9

interesting info, dad I'm gonna contemplate the options. but by the by, the tixNOW tix are usually more expensive than the usual tix master tix. thankx. I got about 250,000 NW miles in the bank these days!! AND I just got an extra 12,500 miles because I complained about the broken video system on a recent LONG flight. muchas gracias!

The catch is, you need to be a Northwest Airlines WorldPerks member. You can spend miles for gift cards/certificates to the following... TicketsNow (a TicketBastard Co.) - 17,000 miles per $100 Marriott Hotels (and their holdings) - 45,000 miles for $250, 89,000 for $500 4 different levels of Hyatt hotel offers - miles vary Shell Gas - 9,000 miles per $50 There's also Starbucks coffee and several restaurants offered as well. So, theoretically, if you have enough miles built up (I only have 42k) you could literally pay for the entire thing, tix, hotel, gas & food! I know that this info will only help a few people, but if I help even one person have a great time, then it's worth it. Take a charter twin-engine from SB to to Avalon.. From Avalon to a dinghy just North of the harbor following the last know wind/drift course of the body of Natalie Wood. Eventually, a rock outcropping will soon appear leading you to theb last known resting place of the phantom of Wood's body, on which the tickets will be wedged between 2 rocks loddged up against a piece of driftwood just above the high-tide line. Good luck getting off the island.

I can't be the first one to ask this, but given the fact that I can't give up my shift down the mine to go to Chicago, has any consideration been given to a simulcast or pay-per-view of any of the July reunion shows?I can't think of a better 4th of July celebration than gathering the tribe to cook-out, relax with a cold beverage, and watch the show. Except being there.

Hey may everyone be lucky today . Yesterday I posted that ( not to brag) I got my email and I have all three shows!! But as any desperate fan I preordered 4 tickets for Sundays show from Bargain seats on line . these tickets are row 20 section 428 ( or better , if they can get these they said ) . I talked to them on Wednesday after I got that great email from gdts . I can not get my money back so these are up for grabs. First I am not looking making money. With fees I paid 380.75 each . I hope you find better tickets cheaper but if not I am going to offer these up. I have already gotten a lot of question so here is the deal. No money till I hand you the tickets , I meet you in Chicago give you the tickets in person , May the sun shine on you and may you truly find a miracle. Steve ps I am not a rich guy just a fan that had to see the show , If tickets dont get used then I guess I will make someones miracle happen on shakedown street !!!

Boxed out of the mail order and of course beat down by Ticketmaster. Looking for whatever I can find, any night. Would love to take my younger sister to at least one of the shows. Back in the 90's my folks would not allow her to join me in the annual Soldier Field festivities. I tried real hard to take her in '95 and it was a bust (she was only 14 in '95, big age gap between us). We all know what happened next...to this day she won't let my folks live down.Would love get her close to the real thing. Would appreciate any help. Unfortunately I cannot justify what the scalpers and stub hub are charging nor do I want to contribute to their greed. I'd rather pay the money to a reasonable head that is not looking to make a killing. Hopefully someone can help a brother out so I can help a sister out.

Hello everybody, my friend and I are 20 years old and were never able to experience a Dead show in person. We never had the opportunity to follow Jerry and the band. I am looking for one ticket to the July 4th show. This would mean so much to me and my friend. Please help in any way you can. We are college kids so we do not have a lot of money. The Grateful Dead have completely changed my life as I am sure they changed many of yours. Now I hope someone out there can make my dream come true.

Hi, Please PM me if you potentially have 1-2 tickets for any single or all three nights. We booked a hotel the moment the dates were announced, and will likely be flying in from Asia (where I am predominately based), whether I am able to score 1 night or all three - so it may appear ironic when I say that I am unable to afford the scalper site prices (even for 'obstructed' seats) :). We are from the Santa Cruz area, and I am home for the next month or so and can meet anywhere in Northern California for the exchange at ANYTIME that is convenient for you. Please PM me for my mobile number - I understand you will want to verify that I am an actual deadhead, etc ;), or email me at wvstauble@yahoo.com Please let me know if there is any way to sweeten the exchange and I will do my utmost to show my gratitude in whatever (reasonable ;)) way!!! Hey friends I was at the last show in my hometown of Chicago in 95 and how lucky I was in hindsight. The years roll by but the memories live on and I've been able to catch Ratdog many times now that I'm living in Florida. I was very excited the hear about the shows in Chicago this summer. Chicago is already a blast this weekend and this is just truly American as it gets. Not only was I shut out of buying one of the hotel travel packages for a triumphant return but after 2 hours on Ticketmaster I came up empty handed. How is it that the ticket resellers seem to have thousands and thousands of seats??? TICKETMASTER YOU SUCK BLUE WHALE DICK! and you always have! I want to see the band ideally on the 4th so if anyone has a pit or a field seat please let me know. It't time to rock n roll my friends. Many thanks and see you in Chitown!

I'm still in the TicketMonster room, 5.5 hours later, spinning wheel with the damned message from the Monster saying, "Your wait time is less than 10 minutes." Smile smile smiling at that. And GDTS was a fail. I'd love to join my touring friends of past thirty years who all are reuniting from all over the USA for these shows. If any kind Head has two extra for each or any night for me and my lady friend, we'd be eternally grateful. We can offer your cost for tickets, good food and drink, and great vibes with friendly people at two day/night rooftop party in West Loop. There will be families with teens and all friendly folks. We can perhaps arrange a drive to or/and from the airport to your hotel for you, as well, if traveling from out of town and arrival/departure times work. Please message me if interested. Cheers and good luck to all.

The reason no one can get tickets is the ticket brokers have super fast computers buy at face value and sell at outrageous prices, wall street does the same buying and selling stocks their is a name for these computers but can't think of it.Don't give in to theses "A holes" no dead head can afford it anyway. I have been watching the dead since "69" I think I only paid $4.50 for my first concert. As concert time comes near the prices will drop and if they don't this DH will buy the DVD and take superman by the hand and enjoy in living color!!!

I have something very musically valuable that I would be willing to trade for 3 3 night pit or field ( plus the face value of course). I also have several hotel reservations close to the stadium that are less that $200 per night that could get thrown into the trade. Pm me if you are interested. I was at the last shows and would love to twirl in the exact same spot this summer but I know it will take a miracle now. Oddly, I dreamed of Alpine Valley last night - a raging Fire on the Mountain with the sun setting. The dream was so much better than the day! Peace.

Never has my heart sankun so hard. I am disgusted with the explotation of this beautiful opportunity by these avaricious scalpers! It is what it is... and with that, I am looking for 2 tix for any night for my future husband(WharfRat) and I to spend as a once in a lifetime honeymoon. Never have I seen The Dead perform. I live in central Ilinois and would be willing to travel up to 2 hours to purchase tix. Godpseed To all on this journey with me.

Well all - seems like I am not the only head who was shut out - at least I can say that I saw them once upon a time...most HERE can say that too (which is a good thing). A couple things about the scalpers, this is a function of supply and demand. There is no supply and massive demand, wherever this occurs, we will have people taking advantage of the system. If GDTS did what Phil does for his shows, scalping would be non-existent. You need to show up and show id - all tix are will call and non-transferrable. So the lucky sods who got GA tix either pit or floor, who are selling them for upwards of $15k per, well, we reap it. Next, and probably most disheartening, is that the boys themselves don't see a penny off these crazy prices. They are ones doing all of the work (they and the crews obviously) and the people getting rich off of no work at all are quietly debating whether they even go if they can clear $60,000 per night for their pit tickets...for only $400 up front. I think the worst thing of all though - is that there will be very few people in tie-dyes, tripping and dancing to the boys for one last time on the floor. At these prices, it will be suits and the kids from Palo Alto (now) who can afford it. EDIT: Maybe I am harsh to judge those who pay $2-10k for a ticket as not heads. Perhaps they are more of a head than I will ever be; or perhaps they are just huge fans with a lot more money. I guess I have no right to question those that can pay this kind of blood money to see the band we all live and breath by. As I said, I am just bitter that I don't have millions of dollars to not notice the kind of money being asked (and I do very well for a living - but not that well). I'm bitter - but this is just the stages of grief I am afraid, yesterday was pure sadness. I was in a Charlie Brown mood all day. Roadking brightened my day for a bit, but he gave them to someone else - he is a good man and did what he had to do (no bitterness there). I am sure that there will be a moving commemoration to the boys that have been lost over the years on the 7th as they drop the curtain for one last time. I, will only get to imagine it. I am sorry for the rambling but I am finding this somewhat cathartic since my wife and friends are tired of hearing me rant. To those of you lucky heads going - eat some paper and dance for me and more importantly, enjoy the splendour that is the Grateful Dead. My friend, whom I was going to go with looked at the prices and said something that made me laugh yesterday..."Jerry will be so mad with what is going on, this is so NOT the Grateful Dead, in fact, I'm willing to bet he will be so disgusted, he won't even show up" A little tongue in cheek, but maybe it was a good thing he isn't around to see what the institution he was a key part of has become.

Would love to find at least two tickets to any night - but would really take anything. My brother and I were going to meet in Chicago - with him coming from Jackson Hole and I'm in D C - and just wanted to see one night if possible - preferably Fri or Sat or both. We would take a 3-day pass as well or any individuals. Hit me up if you have extras! I know this is a needle in a haystack shot, but I'm throwing my email into the dark to see what happens!

I have a 3 day set of tickets that are behind the stage I would like to TRADE the July 4th ticket and 1 more ticket for either Friday or Sunday (your choice) for 1 July 4th ticket anywhere in front of the stage. I give you two tickets behind the stage and you give me 1 ticket in front of the stage. I know you may be able to wander around but I'm not taking the chance to be separated from my young son. I am only willing to TRADE. I have many friends who were shut out to pass my extras on to so I will not be selling them. You must be able to prove you are a Dead Head and not a scalper or broker.
