well said Oroboros Stuman made his point, Chris made his point in return and did actually apologise for the hold up. The vine is in the post and Stuman will have it soon. So can't we leave it there. Chris wants out and I wish he didn't...lets not have any more casualties pleeease. Just listen to Pigpen tearing it up on 9/19/70 and Jerry playing Close Encounters on 1/22/78. and remember what brings us together here. So much more than should ever tear us apart.

Gentlemen, as the Oroboros here, and knowing how things go

around and around, and feed into one another, and then accelerate into morphiing into the next phase, I hearby emplore you both to take a breath. Know that you have made your points and work now to vacate the animosity out of yourself for that other person. It doesn't help to hang onto that negativity. We are all flawed individuals (my hand is raised) and being part of this community (see pkpotter's post) of flawed individuals we all do 'fuck up' on a regular basis. This conflict isn't one to 'win', it is one to learn from and go on. I might be full of shit, but both of you guys have had serious losses/difficulties in the last year and I don't know how that might contribute to this conflict, but for your own sakes, try to find a way to let it go and move on. Do what you need to do to let it go. My hope is that things improve for both of you. Sermon over. Take care, Tim

I agree with you , all I wanted was to know what was going on ,,, if the guy had problems then let us know ,, post it so we all know the vine aint dead , just post. mail when you post "it`s mailed" is that too much to ask from anyone ? crap I only get like 1 or 2 hours to play on the computer but it`s time enough to post what the vine is doing . oh and what personal attacks ? ( besides above post ) .. do you totally misunderstand everything I say ?and todd , I do have a wife familly and work full time .. You talk about familly chris ,, why do you hold back from your familly ? just post whats going on .. if it`s late then it`s late just let us know something .. don`t keep 15 or so other excited people in the dark .. that`s not cool ..

I know this is a vine forum,

I know this is a vine forum, but it is within that spirit of the living vine that I would like to say something. This is not a happy moment. We are about to lose one of our friends. This is a sad day in the vines. This garden cannot survive without love and respect. It will wither and die. We are all friends here, all connected by a common vine. Frustrations can and do arise, as they do among family and friends. It is imperative to remember we are all friends sharing a common love for a band and a way of life that has been both given to us and made by us. Tolerance is one of the cornerstones of this life. Give your friends a ride, help them when they need a hand, treat them with respect and above all just understand,sometimes a little understanding will lead to a better world. I hope to see all of us vining again soon, all of us. The key word is us.

I appreciate it Todd and Trevor. Perhaps I might take too long with a vine here and there, and yes I do work my ass off and have a young child with another on the way. There could be a million excuses. But I don't feel that there is any reasonable excuse for verbally assaulting a fellow member of dead.net. I'm here because I'm very comfortable around all of you. We can talk about the music and share the music among one another. That positive vibe is gone the minute someone starts personally attacking someone else. I apologize for the mishap. I feel that I explained it quite well. I also feel that aggression is for the mentally impotent. To talk about someone "having balls" is completely infantile and asinine. What really takes "balls" is admitting when your wrong, acting like an adult, and taking responsibility for your actions. Apparently that is not a requirement to become a member. Update and list change

Howdy! I've been in contact with our pal LIG71 in France. He is OK with just the Matrix DVD (we've been unable to get a response from the last known holder of the original European branch of the Matrix vine) so I have mailed him a copy of just the Matrix DVD along with another vine I was sending him. Bottom line: the Matrix vine is still here and will avoid the 3 week or so delay involved in transatlantic crossings. Therefore I will magically disappear LIG71 from the list, watch! 21. I received the May '77 East Coast vine on 12/15, hope to have it out on Saturday (the person after me is an I-think-no-longer-active viner, not sure who is after him). The More May '77 was reseeded but I haven't checked on its progress lately. It has been a beastly week at my soon to be former job. I feel I'll end up sending the Matrix vine out Saturday as well, not wait until Monday. This vine has been glacial. I'll try to update the withered vine list this weekend, what's been reseeded and all. Don't mean to shirk my Vine Dick Vigilante duties, but if'n y'all wanna join the posse: if you see that a vine hasn't moved in a few weeks send a friendly email to the last person that posted having it and ask if it ever got mailed out. Sometimes people forget to post. Also send a PM to the person after the last poster, and ask if they ever received it. Could be lost in the mail, and the receiver didn't realize it had been mailed. And I am here to tell you, there is nothing like the feeling of satisfaction you'll get after wasting a Saturday digging through the vines and realizing that just a few viners can decimate a vineyard! Matrix vol 1 has arrived

Coincidentally, I have both matrix vines in my possession. Done with vol2, should get vol1 out within a day or so. Thanks Badger. Usually when i get a multi-show vine I pick and choose what to put on my Ipod. Couldn't do it this time, as all five shows are killer. "Let there be songs to fill the air."
