Mailman just delivered my pink slip (45 days waiting). Now hoping for a miracle somewhere else since I have airline tickets and a great hotel on Michigan Ave. Good luck to all the rest waiting!

    Limbo with Confirmed Cashed MO's
Thanks MaryE for setting this up. My status: I paid the $6.10 for just the 2 base MO I sent in (figured if those 2 were cashed then I'm in and that's all that matters). Requested 2 for 7/3 and 4 for 7/5. Figured I'd go with my wife on Friday and a few of the old crew on Sunday. Post Office confirmed they were cashed the day after I paid the inquiry fee (now waiting the 5-7 business days for copies of the cashed MO's which the Federal Reserve will mail). My hope is certainly that my order was filled but my email wasn't written clearly enough. I'm still in limbo though as I haven't gotten the email from GDTS and am nervous that they got swiped and cashed by someone else. I traded emails with Elvis but know they're still swamped. I hope that if I email him a scanned copy of the cashed MOs he can confirm they cashed them and then I can put this limbo to rest!

I will watch here. Funny.... I tend to end up agreeing with everyone. Those who complain (but not the EXTREME complainers), and those that say "Mellow out.... if it is meant to be, it will be". I do have serious money tied up here, but on the other hand, if I did get tickets the money would be gone anyway. Not sure what to think anymore. I suppose the longer it takes to get the rejection letter, the better the odds become. But the "odds" mean nothing, if the tickets never come.

My buddy is a mailman and checks with my carrier each a.m. to see if that wicked return from Stinson Beach is there. He texts me each day and that saves me from gauging where my mail carrier is and waiting all day. MO still not cashed, but given what I know about our postal system, who knows how accurate that is. I decorated my first envelope with a Wadjet Eye of Horus and a Scarab, two of the luckiest symbols I could think of. Wondering if Ganesha would have made more sense, yea, with a Jerry face. At 50 years(and many shows later) my ability to recall whether I wrote my email address on my 3X5 card is gone. As Bobby once said, "Our short term memory facilities are not what they used to be, but we can hold a grudge."

..for a miracle. I sent my lightning bolt envelope in on the last official day of the hunt 1.21. I requested a total of (4) tix.. (2) for each night- Friday and Saturday. All reserved. I have yet to receive either a pink slip or an email confirmation. I'm not ready to start tracking my MO's yet- sounds like a big hassle- Fuck it. I figure if I don't make the cut than it just wasn't meant to be- and that's OK. To scramble for tickets when they were released (w/out knowing the status of my money orders) just didn't seem right. So I'm.. Sitting here in limbo But I know it won't be long Sitting here in limbo Like a bird without a song

Thanks MaryE for doing this!! I really feel like it will be therapeutic until the pinky arrives (and I'm really trying...really trying...to stay positive). My Email is kinda weird so I guess I'm hoping that they typed it incorrectly. Someone recently pointed out, though, whether a database of bounce backs is overkill. Sounds a bit like it to me. Now I'm regretting that I didn't request 2 tix for more nights -- I just wanted 7/3 -- never figured it would have turned into this... I guess I really do need therapy!

If Jimmy doesn't sing waiting in Limbo for the Garcia tribute at Merriweather I would be surprised. Thank you Marye for setting this up! Does anyone know if there is a deadline for trying to get a refund on Mail Orders? I haven't wanted to look because then I would have to admit I am beginning to give up hope. Mailed mine in at 4:55 on the 20th, hand stamped by the postal worker that even though he was nice, for some reason I was worried I got him instead of the other one. He kept looking at me kind of funny, know that sounds completely paranoid... Hopefully they GDTS TOO will let us know when they are finished with emails and MO's. Good luck everyone!

OK, SO... I almost feel guilty about posting this but .... Have to share some joy!!Although I am still in limbo on my mail-order, I have been fortunate enough to score 2 TM tix belatedly for Friday night! My daughter got through on her phone to the automated phone line on ticketmaster whilst I was staring at the hypnotic spinning wheel afraid to refresh. I told the robot all my information, spelled it all, repeated it all because my last name is long & stuff, then I read off the credit card info and I screwed up on the security ode as I was looking at my BF's credit card that I was unfamiliar with and said "oh wait , No! , it's - - -". Then the robot paused and told me it was sorry it could not process my card at the time and had to release my tickets. Oh My Goodness, was I ever mad at myself! Fast forward to Tuesday night, the BF shows up at my dtr's band concert and & says that his credit card was charged $440.00, long story somewhat shorter, 2 days later I find out I have the two seats it said it released!!!!! WHAAAAAT!!!!!! Utter JOY!!!!!!! SO GRATEFUL, and they are in the backest most corneriest corner of the stadium and jimmy crack corn & I don't care because I will likely be spinnin in an entrance tunnel thingy majig :-)somewhere Now my latest reflections on mail order...if Art didn't matter, they should've said decorated envelopes are "entertaining" not "appreciated" & I started getting kicked to the operator finally on my MO, and the lady I talked to dutifully asked me if I had started an inquiry or whatever they call it, and I said no & when she said that she validated my MO, and I was like "so it's still in the system then?' she said "Yes, Ma'am, it will remain in the system until it is c...dead silence" like she cut herself off at the last moment from saying cashed. Then said something else that didn't tell me anything at all and we hung up So, I believe mine are not cashed. I still gotta have a little hope though after what happened with TM. I am grateful to go to one show for sure, but would love to go to all!

Great story, love it when things happen like that, a little gift...Glad you are still keeping the faith. I am kicking myself for not picking up the phone and trying one of the more antiquated ways. We debated on waking up our 13 year old daughter to help us on her phone but she is just not at her best when she is woken up on a sat. am. She probably would have thought of the phone option as well, glad your daughter was thinking. I would be happy too to have any seat because I love the breezy hallways and it looks like there might be some decent ones there. Enjoy!

..I find myself alive after a visit for the mail carrier. My worst fear: many trays of envelopes were left in the son's bedroom at GDTSTOO to be processed "later". My fondest hope: Well, you know. PS to "Itsgotime", I hope you can appreciate what a thrill your news gave me.

Well... just checked them mail. Not what I expected. I paid the six bucks to the post office last Friday to check the status of my MOs. The lady at the Post Office seemed a little put out at having to do the check. She filled out this big form and called the hotline. Didn't say much and then said to me something like "no information" which I took to mean not cashed. Keep in mind that I did the phone check that everyone on here did and got "Does not match" for all three big MOs and "Does match" for the three smaller ones, leading me to believe the main ones were cashed. They were. Got a letter from the post office today with a photocopy of the money order I requested an Inquiry on cashed by GDTS TOO. Guess I'm going to Chicago this summer. Hopefully the other people that paid for the inquiry will get some relief. Still no email or pink slip, but unless they stole my money I expect I'm getting tix. I really wish you all the best luck and hope to see you all there. I really know how much this means to so many people. I was at Soldier Field in July of 95 and not sure how I feel about going back there.

What a huge relief, very happy for you. It will surely be different one way or another, than 95. The interesting thing about the state of limbo for me is every now and then my brain tries to find reasons why its "for the best" that I might not have gotten tickets. Then the heart fights back loud and clear and blows whatever ridiculous rationalization the brain came up with out of the atmosphere. For whatever reason you are not sure about going back there I am guessing once the emotions settle you are going to be happy its on the horizon. Cheers!

Very happy for you Jsharpe! Still sitting here in limbo. I checked my MO's on Tuesday. I got lucky and a nice man answered the phone and he said he really couldn't tell me anything without an official inquiry but off the record he told me that he was sorry they were not cashed. I'm still hoping that GDTS just haven't gotten to mine yet and that it might be processed this week.....But I'm also prepared to get the pinky any day. I wish we knew how many more envelopes need to be mailed back and how many people are still in limbo. An earlier article quoting from the Stinson Beach post office said they were sending back between 2 and 3 thousand envelopes a day. Given they received so many envelopes they could still be weeks away from getting them all returned? Hoping my undecorated envelope requesting tickets for just one show didn't fall through a crack somewhere. On the other hand one more day w/out bad news in the mailbox keeps hope alive. Staying hopeful but also being realistic here. Coming up with a plan B is probably a good idea for all of us still in limbo. Hang in there, you're not alone.

It's really nice reading everyone's emails...and that those of us still hanging on are staying optimistic, but I think we're all realistic enough at this point to be working on Plan B. Especially love hearing about the email confirmations slowly rolling in. Sounds like it's the bounce-backs but whatever...it's encouraging! I just keep thinking that the closer we get to July, tickets will be available at somewhat "normal" prices (hopefully!). Still resisting the overwhelming urge to just buy ridiculously priced tickets. Seems like lots are feeling the same way.

I keep reading this sentence pulled from the announcement posted by GDTS TOO on the 50 Dead page "You still have a small chance if you do not receive an email from us by the on-sale date, however, you may want to consider on line ticket sales to increase your chances. Tickets will be mailed out in June." You see, they said it! "You still have a small chance" And that is what keeps hope alive! I know we'll all be doggin' the mailbox this week. Like the man said "No news is good news" It ain't over till it's over! Keep us posted of any news. Spring is beginning to show her pretty face in MI....I'm on the hunt for my first crocus of the year. Wishing you all a pretty flower to spy this week.

I knownif at least seven who got emails since Friday. I unfortunately got my money orders back on Friday. Was hoping they made a mistake on my email but they didn't. There are a few who know they have cashed money orders and have yet to receive an email. They have more to come. Don't get excited though if you aren't cashed. These people paid the $6.10 toUSPS and hopefully USPS was certain and they will get a stamped copy that it was cashed by GDTSTOO Please join he Facebook group of you are still in limbo. GD50 Limbo. I know that "small chance" is what is keeping me hopeful. I've checked the junk mail and got an update to email from GDTS so guessing unless it was human error...oh who knows, just still hopeful. Even if I get that pinky (starting to sound like a nasty disease), I refuse to buy from scalpers. Got to be part of the solution, not the problem. Looking like Spring here too, love the spotting crocuses, too Cherie. Hoping we all have god news this week!

Not sure if any of you caught my post on another thread about narrowly adverting a scam by a bears season ticket holder. But now that i have had some time to reflect, I as most of you on this thread am in Limbo and still holding out hope. I realize that there are many tickets out there to be had via the secondary market, our resolve will be tested, we must fight that urge to over pay and wait for the prices to fall. but in that, there is never a "sure thing" that we will get tickets. but don't be persuaded into thinking you have to have that ticket "now" regardless of cost. I want to be there with my family just as bad as all of you, but learn from my mistake, there ARE people out there preying on fans like us. no conscience, no remorse, heartless bastards that want to screw us for our hard earned cash. please be careful when you do find that golden ticket. Peace to All

Just checked with Western Union. My money order is uncashed. No rejection or confirmation email or snail-mail letter. What to think? I see all these tickets on eBay apparently won by mail order and TicketMaster. Read of folks who requested tickets for all three nights and had their request granted. Hardly seems right.
