Make any song a GD song with this simple lession
On the elevator, Carpenters are on the lousy speakers - something about birds following this dude around - simply because he was so damn awesome. I play the Bird Song in my head - "don't you cry.." - I'm not quite done with my version and along comes the song about the lady who falls in love with the singer on the radio - obviously a fanatic - a fan - Bertha - don't you come around here.. Yes, using only your imagination and word images from hundreds of songs you have heard the band play dozens if not hundreds of times, you, too can turn any song into a Grateful Dead song - Cat's in the Cradle = China Cat. Rainy Day and Mondays becomes Box of Rain and from Sugar, Honey, Honey - well, I think you know were I'm going. Start today and let the elevator music elevate you.

    minor miracle
At the last minute my wife had to cancel. Everyone I knew who wanted a ticket had one..show was sold out. I stopped at McDs on way to show for quick bite ( I almost nver ate there then, and still rarely do) . Anyway while in line, I was behind a group of young ladies, all of whom had tix but one. She was seriously bumming about not getting in. I gave her my extra (at face, not free...it was only a minor miracle after all)..she was very grateful and expected to be scalped. Felt good to help her out and reduce her anxiety by selling her the ticket before she got to the lot.

What's your miracle give or received?
Friend's been on the bus 43 years and got shut out of both CID and TM. I was in limbo for MO but not feeling that miracle was going to happen. I was lucky enough to get a CID package! My husband was generous enough to give up his seat for 2 of 3 shows to our friend. Feel grateful and lucky to have both good friends and grate family!
