MY BROTHER BOUGHT ME TICKETS FOR BOTH NIGHTS!
Eric Abrahamson At my age, it's already predetermined that I'm not going to go to all that trouble unless I like it. The glass is either half-full or half-empty. Nobody twisted my arm, put me in a headlock, and made me listen to it-I think it's cool. I asked my brother for money to go, and he gave me 2 tickets. My friend Billy "Buzzboy" Rose, "Wavy Gravy's adopted son", used to be a Grateful Dead roadie, he got me backstage at the first show I went to after I met him, so I think they're good to me. My other friend, Richie Shirley, from the Hog Farm, was in the backstage Crew, traveled around the country with them and sold official T-shirts, and his wife, Andrea, "Mom", the cook at Camp Winnarainbow, used to work in their office in San Rafael and they had an apartment there. I met Richie and Billy at Woodstock where the Hog Farm was the Security and the Please Force, so you kids who pan them, fuck you and your worthless idiot opinions. You've never even been there yet, if you ever get there, at this rate. I think they were the best rock and roll band that ever was, and the Rolling Stones was #2, and I've seen them both. Compared to what, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir? The technology is pretty good for playing in a stadium as big, new, and modern as that. They can hear everything you say and see everything you do, and my brother bought me a ticket way up in the back. In between songs this kid 10 rows down says, "Shoot him!" and I go, "I have a gun!" and immediately they started into "Loser", "If I had a gun/For every ace I have drawn/I could arm a town/The size of Abilene!" I don't like it when they get that personal, ad hominem, but I'm still a fan, because even if they ever had a bad day, they recorded plenty of *good* days, which can always happen, always *do* happen at least a little bit, and silicon is immortal. Great light show. The only problem is with the critics and nay-sayers, who have pre-judged it all instead of, "Judge not!"--like "prejudiced". They already don't like it, they were prepared not to like it--there is nothing the band could have done or could do that they would have liked or would like. It's against their religion. It couldn't be worse if they sang traditional Moslem hymns to Allah in Arabic. They probably know how. There was a day when *everybody* liked it, even my parents. They were the #2 top-grossing entertainment act for 2 years in a row; #1 was Bill Cosby, by concerts, not by record sales, by word-of-mouth, household names, I remember. Nobody listened to that thing about rock-and-roll being "the Devil's music", and if you play it backwards it says, "Hail, Satan!" In my opinion, the Church rejects dancing, "worldly", as opposed to gospel or spiritual music, commercial music, art, literature, drama, culture, one of the reasons, because it's linked in their mind with pagan religion, which certainly applies to the Grateful Dead. However, I would argue that when the Christians converted the Roman Empire and tore down the Pagan temples, later they incorporated some of the features of the pagan religions into their own, from what I've heard. For example, do they say that the gods and goddesses of the polytheistic pantheons of the ancient cultures like Greece, Italy, Egypt, Babylonia are really One, the Lord God of the Old Testament? Or it says on Wikipedia that the Lord God of the Old Testament was the war god of the Phoenicians, like Mars Hill, though I don't see why not the head god Jupiter, Zeus, Ra, or Aten, where Moses got it. Then the Christians say Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the Trinity is One, with Jesus Christ being the Son, a bow to pagan polytheism, but just 3. But they also have the Virgin Mary, who some say is Mother Earth, lots of saints and angels, etc. They say the 30,000 Roman and Greek gods were angels and demons, it's confusing, but some of them were like the Christian God in some ways. For example, Zeus sounds like "deus", which means "God". Jupiter, the Roman for Zeus, has also the name "Jove", which sounds like "Jehovah", which is translated "LORD" in the Old Testament. I read that the Christians used features from the Eleusinian Mysteries of Demeter, the Earth Mother in the Mass, the table, I think, maybe cups, candles, etc. to attract pagans. Some of the saints represent pagan deities from other cultures, and now they become Christian. The Greeks and Romans also had animal sacrifices like the Jews in the Tabernacle and Temple. Lots of their gods had wings like the Jewish angels, like Cupid, Victory, and Iris, the Rainbow. Maybe Moses got the snake on the pole from Mercury's Caduceus, and Asculepius the healer. The Elysian Fields is similar to the Christian Heaven, and Hades to the Christian Hell. Of course, there are just as many differences as similarities. Online I saw a book by the Church Father St. Clement where he uses Ulysses tied to the mast not to hear the Sirens' Song in Homer's "Odyssey" as an example of successfully resisting temptation, "Epistle to the Greeks". Of course, the Pope and the Vatican have always been in Rome. The Father represents Odin from Norse Germanic neo-Paganism, and Thor Jesus in a way. The word "Holle", "hell", isn't in the Bible, it's in the Norse "Eddas". *Valhalla* was their "Heaven". They mixed it with the Jewish Old Testament, the Greek and Roman paganism, etc. They included some of the old Jewish Mosaic prohibitions. Religion has art, music, literature, architecture, and Greek religion was somewhat based on plays. The Old Testament Tabernacle and Temple had a lot of art, sculpture, music, and architecture, and the Bible itself really is man-made literature. They just want a monopoly and no competition, and to control the State. A lot of art, music, literature, architecture, and sculpture got it's start in religion and then some Christians object for those artisans to become commercial, to use it for money, because they want to control the money, which is also man-made. It belongs to the person whose picture is on the money, who owns the metal mines, the mints, and who coins the money. "Render to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." There *is* no picture of God. Some of the Caesars, Roman Emperors, made the people worship them as gods. Constantine himself was Apollo the Sun-God before he was a Christian. Go figure. Another reason the Church may prohibit "drugs, sex, rock-and-roll, drinking, smoking, and cussing", besides Scripture, as well as art, music, literature, theatre, and culture, science, technology, medicine, "the works of men's hands", the prohibition on idolatry, "make no graven image","bow down to no graven image", well that's another one. *Another* one, "God has made everything sufficient, but they have sought out many inventions." But the Church wants the money that people spend on entertainment, art, music, literature, plays, to go to them. Maybe they *did* think they were all being guided by *God* when they were on LSD and they were deceived by the Devil, "caught in the Devil's bargain", "Satan Himself appears as an Angel of Light to deceive if He can the very Elect," but they were experimenting and they thought they were right. Maybe if you got psychedelic by fasting 40 days in the desert those are true, not Satanic, visions. I think they came true for some of them; potentially could have come true for a lot more. Ram Dass called them "entheogens, 'theo', Greek for 'God', 'God-manifesting', you see God, become One with God, become God". "I am That I am." "I and the Father are One." "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." "I said ye are gods; nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes." "We are as gods, and we might as well get good at it." The only psychedelic church I ever heard of was the Native American Church in New Mexico, who had a cross on the altar. They converted all the American Indians to Christianity, but they can still do some traditional Indian things they all (or at least some of them) like to do, just to preserve the culture for posterity. People are always interested in what happened in the past; it's valuable information. The price of Indian jewelry has gone up at least 100x in my lifetime, as it becomes more scarce, as they become lost arts, and they were better before the Wasichus came. There's that Jesse Colin Young song, "Before You Came", how great the Indians had it. A lot of pagan spirituality is a lot higher than a lot of Western spirituality; it's the same thing. If you call the Virgin Mary the Earth Mother, or Father God, Mother Earth, or the Yin-Yang, that's Paganism, or different forms of it, generally speaking. Freud in "Moses and Monotheism", says the Egyptian polytheism was better than the Egyptian monotheism, because when Iknaton switched them to Aten, the One God form of the Sun God Ra, he made Pharoah Iknaton at the top of the "pyramid", with all the ranks of nobles, courtiers, priests, and common people. With the polytheistic system, Isis, Osiris, all that, even though it's true what the Christians say, they worshipped animals, crocodiles, cattle, ibises, hawks, birds, elephants, lions, etc., as the Christians say, "brute beasts", power was more diffuse throughout society, less centered in the king. And he says they were more prosperous, too, with polytheism, that their society declined with monotheism, they overthrew Iknaton, called him a heretic, and restored polytheism. That was why one of the reasons Moses had to get out, to preserve the monotheistic concept somewhere else by founding a new religion. He was raised by the Pharaoh's daughter. There are traces of the Egyptian roots in Moses' writings; he uses the Hebrew word "Elohim", "gods", plural, for "LORD God", and "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," admitting they exist, but fighting them, and "Who is like unto Thee, among the gods?" "You're the best!" I don't know; I'm not a theologian. I just had a year of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Yale, and graduated from Mountain Heights neo-Pentecostal Bible College in 1974. I saw the Jupiter-Venus conjunction in Leo tonight, the same as the Star of Bethlehem. It was out for about an hour. Astrology is from paganism, too, and probably the Dead used an astrologer when they set up the stadium dates as a Christian joke, although who knows how forgiving the Christians can be about that. The Bible accuses those who "worship the host of heaven upon the housetops" and they said that meant the pagan Babylonian astrologers. But the Christians reject a lot of other things the Jews said, like the rule against pork. Maybe that verse condemns the Roman astrologers, too. I read that not only were the Romans, and Greeks, into that, but they had augurs, or prophecies by things like the flight of birds, which might signify things like victory or defeat in war, or they'd read the entrails of animals they sacrificed, like tea leaves, or "sibyls" at the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi would prophecy the future in poetry, Socrates had a "inner god" that told him what to do. The Christians say "abandon all that" and then years later when you're "mature in the Lord" it wasn't so bad, and won't really hurt you, "all things are pure to him who is pure", "nothing is unclean of itself", etc. This issue is "if __________ makes my brother to stumble, I will eat no ____________," "Blessed is the man who is not condemned by the thing he alloweth," and something about the "commandments of men". I'm going to write more on another post so it isn't too long.

Remember, when in Chicago Mickey Finn's Saloon. St. Patrick's Day or a respite from the July summer heat. Just be careful of getting knocked out, and I'm not talking about a Donny brook.

There is 1 bassist I wouldn't mind stepping in for Phil (obviously not replacing), if he's still alive (don't know and didn't bother to look it up) is... Rob Wasserman. He's got a lot of history with Bob and they put on quite a show together as a duo... I would accept this for SF (if Philless) PHIL-LESS ha ha.... ;-)

Like Sam3b mentioned, it looks like secondary market prices are holding steady. Maybe a small drop over the last week but not much. Even though I've never traveled to shows empty-handed, I decided to go ahead and keep my flight and just go to Chicago without tickets (unless, of course, I find the proverbial miracle). It will be fun to see old friends and I lived there in first and second grade, so if nothing else, I can just be a touron and soak in the ambiance of a cool city temporarily lensed in psychedelia. Maybe see something on a screen. Hopefully, I'll get to meet up with some of the folks from here as well. Gotta put a face to the Klang, and others, for sure! I still think prices will come down in June--probably just a question of how much. Anyone have any suggestions of neighborhoods to stay other than downtown? I've been told to stay away from Midway airport area. Evanston area looks pretty good but it might be a bit far out from the action.

That would be really tough to justify going - apart from the fact that, well the left coast in the summer is pretty awesome anyhoo...but if Phil isn't showing up that will make the decision that much tougher. Also considering there is no way in hell that GDTS will be able to do a mail order for it - the time frame is way too short considering how the Chicago shows were inundated...and this is an even shorter period. So TM with a possible presale for Dead.net or (wishing) DP or Almanac subscribers... Like Klangstone, so holding out for Chicago...hope and a prayer, and maybe the occasional whippit...:)

Hey now BobLoblaw - that's a great post you just did - like really great. And to your point, there's a bunch of peeps here who we're getting to know. Shit, now we even have nicknames, right "Klang?" The Klangster. The Klang-man. Okay....enough of that. So regarding a get-together and a meeting place, Grant Park, I am sure will be quite the scene during the entire weekend. I read here that Shapiro may set-up some sort of simulcast there even. But somehow we need to make all these technologies work for us to set-up a meet-up somehow. I don't do FB or any social media but I trust deadheads and email so maybe someone can get their thinker working and come up with a plan. Like you, BobLoblaw, I have my air and hotel booked Thursday through Monday - but I still need a pair for Sunday night. I stuck out on all tickets so for those wondering how I got Fri & Sat tickets, my buddy scored on the mail order (2 tix/show) and is giving me his Fri night pair for me and my daughter-in-law; my buddy is taking me on Sat night, and my wife and I will go on Sunday - miracle providing :-)

So this just in... I bid on a pair of Sun night tix on eBay; sect 212 - primo Bears PSL seats. I bid the most I could afford but below their ridiculous asking price. Then I just received the following e-mail from the eBay seller: WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN HELPING ME SELL MY GRATEFUL DEAD TICKETS AND MAKE A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR SALES??? Can you f'ing believe that one? I promptly replied that is clearly against the spirit of the Dead and that deadheads don't ripoff deadheads - no, I won't help you. Hold out folks - chinks in the armor are showing !!

tfonts, I think we can put something together and we've got a few months to work it out. I have a Facebook account but don't really use it much, so at best I'd be able to join something someone else sets up. Maybe we could put together an e-mail list of people interested in meeting up and pass the e-mail addresses through PM to keep it private. That eBay story is pretty crazy. I'll admit that I hadn't been following ticket sales on eBay until I discovered you could filter them by "sold" so I've been checking in once a day or so. It seems pretty sketchy, with a lot of tickets where you wonder if someone really paid that much (i.e., CID sale). I noticed a lot of bidders and purchasers don't have any eBay history, so I wonder if ultimately you'd be asked to not only rip-off your fellow Deadheads but artificially bid up auctions to get people to think there is demand at high prices. At least this whole thing has been educational, if not maddening, and more chapters to the story shall be written.

Klan and clowns...does it get any scarier? This has gone off the rails and the poor guy is at work and unable to defend himself... I will add my name to the list of people meeting up (as long as someone can provide me with even one ticket to justify my trip to Chicago!) After that I will beg, borrow or sell coffee to get access to the rest! As for TFonts and the Ebay guy, that is too much..."I won't sell to you, but if you hold someone down while I rape them, I'll let you have a piece of the action..." glad to see that these people were given tickets first. :?

Hear, Hear Klangstone! I am with you, if there is no Phil, then it is def not the Grateful Dead or whatever this was supposed to be! I can't wrap my head around the idea that the other members would even consider going ahead without him. It will taint what this was supposed to be about!! It was the Philster [w/ Bobby on board eventually] who has driven the bus Furthur, he is the one who has kept the wheel turning! Phil brought the old school songs back, he made the dream [once envisioned by all members of the GD] of creating a gathering place [Terrapin Xroads] in Cali; come to fruition! I know it's hard for people to be shut-out of Chicago, but even if they did a tour, not every head is going to see the band. Obviously, this "thing" that was created in 1965 continues to live and grow, and it will continue well beyond the lifetimes of the band members! It saddens me to see where this has gotten, everyone keeps saying "Jerry would be rolling over in his grave [even tho he was cremated] at what has become of the scalpers, the assumed greed of the band, etc!! Well, I will tell you one thing I know to be true, Jerry would be sad and weep at the thought of how the so-called deadicated heads were acting, like big F**king whiners! Look inside bothers and sisters, it is what it is man!

That's a good maybe you got, Klang. I hope it works out for you and everyone else. I look forward to meeting some of you kind dead.net folks I've been chatting with over the years. My wife and I are keeping our hotel for Saturday and Sunday nights and biding our time. More and more auctions are ending without a sale on ebay. The scalpers know that prices have nowhere to go but down, and they know that once tickets start getting mailed out from the coast, folks are going to have extras. If the extras show up online, prices come down; if not, prices on the lot will be face value, near face, or even less than face. I know it's 2015 and this is the toughest ticket ever, but if they sold 60,000 seats per night plus several thousand GA field, there's gonna be a lot of tickets available that are in the hands of Heads just looking for a fair trade. This ain't nobody's first rodeo......Deadheads have been burning scalpers and making the most of every venue since Nixon was in office. Peace.

Any baseball fans out here? My planned crew of four has dropped to to 2, which has left me with pairs of extra tickets for my other life passion. Fri Cubs/Marlins and Sat/Sun White Sox/Orioles. All day games. if you are interested in a game before the show let me know, rather sit next to some of us than put them up on stub hub. - And if you happen to have any extras for Fri or Sat... REALLY would love to have you sitting next to me.

Now Tom understands the true spirit of the Grateful Dead and how the scene works. It is what it is [yes, you do adapt], until laws are passed and regulations are set down, scalpers are always going to be a plague! There is less than 5% of the total tix sold for Chicago being scalped, realize that there is a huge Deadhead community out there and these shows were in high demand!! The whole year is the 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are numerous events and factions of the band playing those songs of our own!

I have to congratulate you now! I no longer believing in jinxing, you'll get your tickets and think many others will too, miracles are already happening and its early. Cozmiccharlie, think it was you at Leftover last weekend? Love Leftover, was bummed that show sold out so quickly. It has been fun to watch them evolve over the years. There are many bands out there that inspire the same community and loving vibe as the Dead. The Dead being the foundation for the whole scene. I'm looking forward to String Cheese at Red Rocks and hope any that haven't caught them yet, get to a show and feel the love! Thoughts of future shows are what are helping me get by without tickets to Chicago yet. That and the GD50 Limbo facebook group. Peace, Love and Grooving to all!

It's not bad here @deadnet with the whining and not understanding that less than the average amount of tickets are in the hands of ticket brokers, but it has been deafening in other forums, on fakebook, and responses to "news" articles. It's like for many people it's their first time purchasing tickets, dealing with TM, etc. Anyway, I thought I'd give you heads up that it's been covered. It's been so over the top that gratefuldean.com has a hysterical blog posted just a few days ago mocking many of the complaints, rumors, etc. I suggest you check it out. It cracked me up. Yeah, Tom Hanlon, has it right. Adapt and see what you can see. No one has mentioned it, but Dark Star Orchestra plays a lot of gigs and has a wonderful festival at the old Buckeye Lake. If I couldn't see Bobby or Phil, they'd be my first choice. You couldn't pay me to listen to WSP though. There are even more ways to celebrate. I'm going to try to promote an event in my town on Saturday December 4th; the first show as the Grateful Dead and the exact 50th. I'm thinking of renting a "hall" that can cater beer, and projecting Sunshine Daydream followed by The Grateful Dead Movie. I'm not going to profit, but sell just enough tickets to pay for the hall rental. A big open space to dance to the dead. yada yada Adapt. Celebrate. And, yes people, stop acting like you know what Jerry would say.

I think the entire "rumor" about Cali shows by the unknown festival promoter was just a ploy to bring attention to his festival or website. Of coures, if Phil isn't there it isn't even in the same league as FTW. Also, weren't the FTW crew supposed to rehearse a couple weeks prior with the whole group. I doubt Trey is going to sign on for another weekend as Phish has a tour following FTW. It all sounds like bullocks to me. They said this was the final shows for the core four. Sure, they may end up on stage together for a few songs at MPP, but I believe this is it. Maybe the four will show up unannounced at the Jerry tribute in McClaren(?) Park or some other event, but this is it. Maybe a few songs a Lockn'.

That is a beautiful idea to create an event to celebrate the 50th!! Now, that is inspiration folks. It is kinder here, that is why I even bother to comment here! It's not healthy to get into some of those convos, takes away from what this is all about. Glad to hear the positive is drowning out the NOISE! In some ways we need to embrace the times, the plans for webcasts, streams, etc is a great way to reach-out to those brothers and sisters who can't get inside!! I've been doing a lot of couch touring lately. I'm tapped out with expenses for Chicago and Jerryweather, so I couldn't make it to Phil's Birthday last night. Thx to nugs.tv I was there!

I have been lurking in the shadows for the last 4 or 5 weeks, might have noticed me listed on the Online User list. I have read every post during that time. Particularly fond of those from Klankstone, rgergelis, BobLoblaw, properledji, tfonts, seeing red, geomeister, Svengali, Spencergp68, among others. I really hope you all find your tickets and have a great get together in Chitown. What became of old tt, up and vanished. Like a lot of folks on here, I got completely shut out on getting tickets and have been hunting like a fiend for tickets every since. Looking high and Looking low. The prices on StubHub are totally outrageous. Most of us are refusing to buy from them at the current prices. I noticed some people were working hard to keep track of the secondary ticket sales. The most valuable information that can be gleaned from StubHub is that on the tickets that are actually sold, not what they are listed for. If anyone is unfamiliar with StubHub, and would like to learn how to access this information just PM me. I would be more than happy to hook you up to this information.

"So what changed? The only obvious change is the swapping of Anastasio for Kimock. Does Lesh have a personal problem with Kimock, who has performed with Phil & Friends in the past?" That seems a lot weird. I am not quite getting all excited about the prospect of having one closer to home until it is announced. And even then, not thinking about the rumours of who would perform and who wouldn't. I'll wait till the cards are on the table...but yeah if it is without Phil (I don't care if Trey or not, according to Hitler, that guy is a pill head :) ) that would be a lot strange...

Well, on second thought I liked listening to Mike Gordon at the Move Me Brightly celebration. I got the impression from Bobby's words that the friction is between some of the four. I think he said something like they needed to put aside their disagreements to commemorate the 50th. Maybe Phil is just committed to three shows and done.

Yeah - there were some comments by the band (was it on Dead.net?) earlier this year where Bobby made that statement. Perhaps there was a bit more to the break up of Furthur then we know? We all know that Bob had his problems last summer...I kind of figured that it was Billy since he seemed to be in semi-retirement doing cruise ships and such...he was the only one I wasn't seeing tours for, but now he is on the road...who knows. A lot of speculation at this point. I WOULD use my Jedi powers to solve this, but I am still working on remotely convincing people to sell Klangstone and I a ticket to Chicago!

How can I be elected mayor if not running for the position? FLATTERED AS HELL THOUGH (Couldn't imagine I would end up having a fan base of my own.) That one made me LMFAO big time. You guys are the best! But remember, I am just an ordinary average guy that also hopes that its hard when I pick up the dog doo. Woof woof All this talk of a meeting for us in Chicago for the ticketed and ticketless forum members who are on the same level sounds intriguing as hell. Almost makes me book my flight right now! It's hard though for me coming from west coast. I will be like a fish out of water, traveling by myself to a strange land. But then again meeting some of you kind folks sounds like it would be worthwhile even without, dare I say ...uh ...wait... here it comes... ahh shit! I can't even say the T word anymore (let alone type it)... Tempted really tempted. Oh I forgot. My hairdresser, lets call her Cassie (not her real name) has a friend/co-worker who knows someone who has a son who can't go but has tickets. Hmmm, doesn't sound familiar at all does it? So I have a friend who knows someone who has a son who might have tickets that he may or may not want to sell at either face or not face value. So I got that goin' for me. Huh? Yeah? Can anyone else say that, HUH???? ..that's what I thought... (insert chuckle here) :) :-) ;-]

Was that a Joe Walsh reference? I love it. My theme song since moving to Nowhere, Wydaho.

Who in the hell is Steven Wandrey? This guy obviously doesn't know anything about what's going on. Phil IS THE REASON he will not play any more Grateful Dead shows anywhere. I think he has made it clear on numerous occasions he is not up to it, for whatever reason. I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with being 75 frikkin years old! Don't believe everything you read on the internet folks, and I wouldn't give this guy any credence at all.

I don't know who he is, but I'm sure I don't like him. What was it he said? Where did he say what it is that he said? I just got to find find out!!!!

I found the link I missed earlier. I found out who Steven Wandrey is and what it was he said. And I know just where he said it. Now, I just need to know why he said it. That way I can make up my mind about the other thing I said. Until I do, I'm still not sure if I like him. Enough has been said. Unless you read the 29 comments. Where did all those rumors come from? Now, I may have to go through this same process with all those people.

Okay, now that everyone's Irish today, good morning to all !! Reflection: I have to say, there's a bad-ass kinship developing here and a way cool brother and sisterhood. Thanks all !!! I still need tickets but for me, this board has gone from a place to vent frustrations, to information sharing, to dare I say, a camaraderie with a bunch of folks all with one thing in common....the love of the Dead. Now that's pretty f***ing cool. Closest parallel I can personally come up with is an event like Sturgis. My wife and I are avid Harley enthusiasts. We each ride our own and have been for years. We're heading back to Strugis, SD in August for the 75th anniversary of that rally and like a Dead show, all are bound by one thing - the love of two wheels and the freedom it provides. And just like a Dead show, you could be sitting next to Joey lunch box, or Joe CEO - it just doesn't matter. I love that shit !! Ticking Scalping: So, remember last night my post of someone on eBay who sent me a note asking my help to sell their outrageously priced ticket and I'd get a cut of the profit? I answered, hell no - that's completely against the spirit of the dead and deadheads don't ripoff deadheads. Well... This morning's reply from them reads: "I JUST REDUCED THE PRICE PER TICKET TO $2250" Oh really now? Well aren't you nice... It's great to see them sweat, and it's only mid-March :-) Love and peace to all the good peeps here !!

You nailed it with that post. I own two Harley's and have been to Sturgis twice. Best times I ever had was riding to Dead shows. I said that. Always tried to look for some kind of show to go see while out on a ride. The farther I could get from home the more enjoyable the ride. I've gotten more response than I anticipated about accessing the ticket information. I'm going to prepare an outline and PM it to everyone that has requested it. That way I can make sure everyone can get to it on their own time frame, and I don't drop the ball.

I'm thinking of putting together an event Multi-geocache for the Dear Jerry show, something to wander days before and after the show. Looking for some locales to show off our corner of the planet. If you've got a favoite spot and or want to help with setting it up PM me. Thanks.

Nice tickets, wish I had em. He's only going to make an easy $20,000.

He's got great tickets. I bet he is going to sell these tickets at that price and not provide any additional perks. I never cared much one way or another about the Chicago Bears, but I now I hope they go 0-16 every season for the next 10 years.

So how do we flood him with emails? I would like everyone to email him saying that we hope that no one buys the tickets from him. Personally, I would like to see him wandering around the parking lot flogging his tickets to "the most important band of the psychedelic era..." imagine that, some guy in his Brooks Brothers golf shirt and shorts wearing like a Titleist hat scared shitless by the heads begging him to sell them a ticket for a fair price! :) I really hope that he eats those tickets - and I second the opinion that I hope the Bears go 0-16 for many years to come so his time driving from IN to IL is wasted...now my anger level is rising again... Those of you like me, if we can choke these guys out, look for the dude who looks like he just came from the country club with club level tix for sale!!!
