My only B-Day Show
X-Factor
I thought this was the best of the 3 spectrum shows of the fall '89 tour . The first had a lot of newer tunes and I thought the energy was fine Cumberland brought us back to 1970 in the way it sounded , and The second set was KILLER . Never heard Jerry rip a solo on Dear Mr. Fantasy like he did and then melted down into A low Death Don't Have No Mercy, and it did feel a somberness came over the Spectrum and we we all the sudden at a Funeral , and Like "wrombola" said above about the Lovelight is about right and the Baby Blue Encore has some exquisite guitar playing making this an all time version..
2nd Set Mastery
I did so much acid at this run of shows, it was cold and raining and I spent the nights under a viaduct near the stadium with a bunch of hippies and bums, tripping my face off and loving life and caring nothing about the cold, wet, and discomfort.
Not surprisingly the shows are a bit of a blur for me, I remember having fun, but can't really separate them in my mind.
With the exception of the 2nd set of this night, that is. What an incredible set, it blew my mind straight out the back of my head, and stands out to me as the 2nd best show I saw from this tour, after Bobby's birthday show in New Jersey a few nights before.
