Mailman just delivered my pink slip (45 days waiting). Now hoping for a miracle somewhere else since I have airline tickets and a great hotel on Michigan Ave. Good luck to all the rest waiting!

Thanks MaryE for setting this up. My status: I paid the $6.10 for just the 2 base MO I sent in (figured if those 2 were cashed then I'm in and that's all that matters). Requested 2 for 7/3 and 4 for 7/5. Figured I'd go with my wife on Friday and a few of the old crew on Sunday. Post Office confirmed they were cashed the day after I paid the inquiry fee (now waiting the 5-7 business days for copies of the cashed MO's which the Federal Reserve will mail). My hope is certainly that my order was filled but my email wasn't written clearly enough. I'm still in limbo though as I haven't gotten the email from GDTS and am nervous that they got swiped and cashed by someone else. I traded emails with Elvis but know they're still swamped. I hope that if I email him a scanned copy of the cashed MOs he can confirm they cashed them and then I can put this limbo to rest!

I will watch here. Funny.... I tend to end up agreeing with everyone. Those who complain (but not the EXTREME complainers), and those that say "Mellow out.... if it is meant to be, it will be". I do have serious money tied up here, but on the other hand, if I did get tickets the money would be gone anyway. Not sure what to think anymore. I suppose the longer it takes to get the rejection letter, the better the odds become. But the "odds" mean nothing, if the tickets never come.

You can do an inquiry for $3.50 and then just have to wait 60 days(from the date of MO)to get it refunded. When I verify mine it says "awaiting eligible refund"

My buddy is a mailman and checks with my carrier each a.m. to see if that wicked return from Stinson Beach is there. He texts me each day and that saves me from gauging where my mail carrier is and waiting all day. MO still not cashed, but given what I know about our postal system, who knows how accurate that is. I decorated my first envelope with a Wadjet Eye of Horus and a Scarab, two of the luckiest symbols I could think of. Wondering if Ganesha would have made more sense, yea, with a Jerry face. At 50 years(and many shows later) my ability to recall whether I wrote my email address on my 3X5 card is gone. As Bobby once said, "Our short term memory facilities are not what they used to be, but we can hold a grudge."

do we start worrying that our MOs are lost? Not one to bash the USPS or GDTSToo but ...I assume that once they have mailed the last MO back they will make an announcement.... But then, if still no return do you (I) crank up that ol' Victrola and wait for the June mailing (or not) or (II) pay the PO whatever absurd tracking fees are necessary to find out what happened to your MOs??

..for a miracle. I sent my lightning bolt envelope in on the last official day of the hunt 1.21. I requested a total of (4) tix.. (2) for each night- Friday and Saturday. All reserved. I have yet to receive either a pink slip or an email confirmation. I'm not ready to start tracking my MO's yet- sounds like a big hassle- Fuck it. I figure if I don't make the cut than it just wasn't meant to be- and that's OK. To scramble for tickets when they were released (w/out knowing the status of my money orders) just didn't seem right. So I'm.. Sitting here in limbo But I know it won't be long Sitting here in limbo Like a bird without a song

There is - and I have been hearing it a lot lately...I think for now, I will live off of Live Music Archive as long as I can, before the estate takes it all down (like they tried to do) and start charging for all of it.

A Norwegian bachelor farmer, perhaps?Thrilled with your news, but there is a lot of pink on the FB Dead50 Limbo page. A LOT of pink. My mail carrier is so incompetent, I may not know until August. Or my envelopes fell behind the son's bed at GDTSTOO. All possibilities are being entertained. Am I Charlie Bucket, going to inherit the Chocolate Factory? Or Augustus Glump, sucked into the industrial nozzle?

with GDSTOO's post on 3/14, I "guess" if I do not receive a rejection in the next...5,6 days?...I should assume I'll get tickets since I still have heard nothing. Did anyone interpret the post any differently? I'm really hoping they mis-keyed my email address when they originally tried to tell me I was getting my order filled, but will correct that very understandable human error in a forthright manner when they resend the email to the correct address this week. yeah, that's it, that's how it will work.

I got nothing but an empty cup in the way of tickets, but I'll be there. Have my flight and hotel all set up. If anyone has any tickets at a reasonable price, I'd like to get in any or all shows. Need 2 ticket each but will buy 1 if you have them. Thanks!

GDTSTOO Posted this on 2.27.15Please note: If you only sent in one envelope and received an email stating that you will receive tickets, then your whole order will be filled. If you sent in multiple envelopes, then we can only guarantee that at least one of your orders has been filled and we will not be able to provide you with which date or which ticket type was chosen at this time. I sent in 1 envelope with 3 MO's for a single ticket for each night...BUT I got 2 emails from GDTSTOO... with 2 different order numbers. What does it mean? If one email = one envelope order, what does two emails mean?

Maybe you got lucky and they screwed up and processed yours twice and awarded you two sets of tickets!!! As a hopeful recipient of a miracle, I wish the best for you. In all seriousness, I would contact Elvis at GDTS and see what is the dilly-o. He should respond (perhaps without an answer) within a day or two. Good luck

I have an extra hotel reservation at The Hyatt Mccormick Place which is the closest hotel to Soldier Field. The rate is only $125 a night (booked it weeks before the official announcement). I need a Friday and a Sunday ticket for my wife. Sell me 1 or both at face and I will give you the reservation.

Hey Now!I had been in Limbo Land and received my money orders back on Friday the 13th of March! Never got any notice prior to public on sale date. I sent in 6 money orders at 8am on 1/20...2 for each day for different price seats. Now we find out that people that sent in separate envelopes for each day will at least be getting one of their orders filled...NOT COOL!...to suggest on GDTSTOO that all shows can be ordered in one envelope and then also state that "Duplicate orders" will result in your disqualification and then reward those that sent in multiple envelopes is lame.

I read the directions the same way you did and played by the rules. However, the email update you are referring too meant that if they happened to get one of their envelopes selected then they will get tickets not that because they sent multiple envelopes they will definately get one of them. Doesn't make it much better but does show they were so overwhelmed that they couldn't track who sent multiple envelopes. I'm not on the payroll and feel your pain, got shut out in all three avenues. Good luck!

Like a lot of you, I did the mail order routine for years. This one left a bad taste in my mouth. I sent in several thousand dollars in money orders all in one envelope. I got completely shut out. Ok, so it happens. But what annoys me to no end is hopping on line and seeing these tickets trade for many, many multiples of face value. I can afford the asking price, but it galls me that I am putting bucks in the pocket of some ticket carpetbagger who merely got lucky. If there is a next time, the Band's management should figure out a way to auction the tickets through Dead.Net and give the proceeds above reasonable face value to Rex or some other Dead charity, rather than some random opportunist. Sorry to be negative, but technology has moved a bit ahead of mail order to where this could have been done better to get tickets to people who were willing to pay and actually hit the shows, and not let a bunch of random people reap the profits.

To all - I did not realize that there was more than 1 blog/thread on this website. I originally posted the following on 3/16 in another blog. My reason for this repost is to encourage everyone still waiting not to give up - miracles can still happen! It ain't over until it's ever. The post: There is light at the tunnel! I sent in for all 3 shows in one envelope on 1/20. On 2/26 I get a congratulatory email as many did. No specifics - just an email. So ok, does that mean I got tix to all 3 shows? Should I assume I have tix for all 3 shows? Of course not! But after reading many comments in this email thread, on 2/27 I went to the PO and asked to trace the (3) money orders. That took another $18.30. I thought they would tell me right then an there whether the MOs had been cashed. Nope they told me I would get a letter within 7-10 business days. More waiting ... aargh! On or about 3/10 I received 3 letters, dated 2/28, one for each MO telling me that they have not been cashed. More waiting ... #@%!&! Today, 3/16, I received 3 letters, dated 3/5, one for each MO. Each letter had a copy of the front and back of the MOs. It does appear that they were cashed on 3/2. Am I excited? Of course I am - but I would feel much better if I had my tickets in my hand! Apparently, I still have to wait 3 more months before I will see the tix. This is a lot of angst for this old guy that used to hang around 710 Ashbury St. in 66/67 .... but it appears there is light at the end of the tunnel! I feel bad for all those that didn't get tickets - my friends, my family, and my fellow DHs. But you never know - miracles do happen. Miss ya Jerry.

My WU money orders for all three days were cash on 2/24 but I never got an email from GDTS TOO so I'm also in limbo. I take it as good news that the money orders were cash but it sure would be nice to know for sure that I got tickets.

Bummer I received my Mo's back on Fri the 13th - So, I went and walked under a ladder, found a black cat to cross my path and broke a mirror just for fun, Ouch figured my luck wouldn't get any worse. It seems like all of the people who sent in for the mail order would be true devotees of the band. To have so many ardent supporters not get tickets after jumping thru the mail order hoops just does not seem right to me. GDTS TOO I'm sure you found no joy in sending all those requests back. Not an easy job. But, In my little world I would have liked to fill the stadium with everyone who mail ordered in requests, Those are the people who I have danced and sang with in the past.

I'm kinda in the same boat, except mine were Postal money orders. According to the MO Verification System, they've been cashed. Here's the rub, I can't say for sure that I remembered to put my email address on the 3x5 card. That's new, at least to an old timer like me.

USPS confirmed all my MOs cashed Feb 10, so unless they were stolen and cashed by someone else, I will be in Chicago for the weekend. Still have not heard from GDSTOO, though so I am a bit wary of celebrating until I get that confirming email and/or the cancelled MOs. For me, all good things in all good time, and I wish the same for you.

But not for me, alas. But on the GD50 Limbo group on Facebook are several reports of folks who were puzzled by their status (attn: mkav) who wrote to Elvis and got a reply that said "you are a winner, don't know why you didn't get our first message". Each of the ones I saw had tix for all 3 nights. Different question is why I am still checking that information.

thanks for that info. i do not use fb so i didn't see that message. elvis emailed me saying basically they will confirm all within a week. i am guessing either i neglected to put my email on the index card (possible tho doubtful) or they miskeyed my email address so it bounced back. i've checked my deleted email to see if i accidentally deleted it, and checked spam filer just in case, too. USPS confirmed MOs were cashed so I'm "hoping" it was by GDTSTOO. they are mailing the cancelled MOs so I'll know for sure soon enough.

same boat. GDTSTOO's Elvis says we'll get our confirmation some time this week as they finish setting up a database for bounced emails.Either we did not include our email or they transposed something when they sent an email earlier so it was bounced back, or maybe their email got caught in your spam folder. USPS is mailing me the cashed MOs...that will have GDSTOO stamp on the back...that will confirm your tickets if Elvis is not caught up this week.
