    Hi everyone, Just checking in, as I have mostly had my head down attending to the mundane for the last few months. However, I got the chance to spin my noggin a bit last week at the Broomfield and Vegas shows (despite a nagging cough). The shows were great--11/28 2nd set, in particular, was very notable. Got to see Gob and (you can call me) James in Vegas so that was a treat. Gob even brought Christmas to the show . . . literally. Hoping to go to Cali at the end of the month but we will see.

    What a lovely post! I need to echo the same...my life has changed for the better since we all started this journey nearly one year ago. We may not see each other but it's sure nice to know we can "talk" and reach out whenever... I think of all of you often and treasure our new cyber-friendships and especially the music that made it all happen.

Sitting at the ocean in Vero Beach I reflect on how my life has been affected since the announcement of FTW back in January. I'm very thankful and grateful for all the new friendships, interactions, da picnic, and above all all the music over the past months...tis the moments in the journey that our memories are made of, and you've provided many nice moments. May this day find you safe and with loved ones where-ever you are...may all good things to come your way.     @just a little light?...
    Been following this tour since 10/29 Albany, playing has gotten much tighter but is it me or are the set lists getting predictable and stagnant? Same songs being rotated in different order, repeating every 3 shows or so. Now I know Mayer and Oteil are new to this but, well just want to see if anyone else shares the opinion, maybe I just need a break from it.... Contrasting to Phil's recent runs at the Cap...on 11/1 he pulled out day job for the encore....whilst not a barn burner of a classic dead song it did put a smile on my face....if for no other reason, spontaneity. Come to find out that night he replayed the 11/1/85 set list song for song...reminds me of going to see DSO. Anyway to all who are yet to go, enjoy.....these are some high energy shows for sure....and being there is well worth your time....at least once.

    Hey now, this head added an unexpected show to the itinerary...Ozark Matt and I are headed to Nashville tomorrow. Super excited cause I've never hung out in the music city. Grateful for the current cheap gas for ba dus! Keep on truckin'!

and i cant find my 4 year old sandals that really stink but have that broken in just right feel before they get a little sticky in the heat. Do I even have time to ready a new pair? The sun's warming and its just about time to pack away the socks until fall. Orioles home opener in a week and a half, Dear Jerry in 44, Rush end of May, Chicago to crown it all. quit playing now, who took my sandals?

Coo coo cooo.Like I said I was left to my own devices as a kid, when the Mckenzie brothers were recording LPs I was stealing them And George carlin from My older sis to get in a good laugh. Take off eh? That should explain lots. Rich, you sure you're a red blooded american?, you seem to know a lot about canadian culture. Can we put rgggrrrrr at the wheel of the ship/car/bus/train ? Either one of those vehicles or all of them at once, I think he can handle it. I would feel all at once safer and immensely frightened (how do you say it a scary sort of safe) knowing that he could spin us out of Never Never land and over the rainbow and off to willow farm without missing a beat or without missing, 9, 11, or 7 beats depending. -- Tom

I'm just saying' rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr promised some sort of welcome AFTER I arrived. So I'm late, but at least I made it. No welcome whatsoever. Here is what you do: 1) Go to edit, insert passwod, and check the box "delete picture". Hit save; 2) Log out; leave the page totally, leave dead.net (I know, it hurts, but relax); 3) Log back in, note that there is no picture, you are merely a shadow of your former self; 4) Continue messing around, with no picture, do this for a day or so; 5) Go back to your account, log in and choose new picture. Hit save; That should get you your new/old avatar back. The point is that you have to let dead.net relax a couple of days after making a change, before hitting him with a new change. He is elderly and set in his ways, and he has to get used to the idea you messed with him. It'll be ok, honest. ciao- geofredpoobahmeister

Just read this on the big board for anyone looking for a hotel: extra room Hey all I have a hotel room booked for 3 nights in Chicago that I will not be using. Before I cancel my reservation I wanted to see if any one here could use it. I want NO money for the room just want to transfer reservation to someone who can use it. I second that, rrrrrgrrrrr, and want to wish all SD'ers where applicable, a blessed Good Friday, and a joyous Passover or Easter. I'm on business travel next week out the the left coast (SFO) but as always, checking mail. BTW, rrrrrgrrrrr, I believe Totem is out of pocket for a few days on a camping trip. But it is 4/3 today and the first show is 7/3 so that's an easy one for us :-) Cheers everyone !!

Our beloved Mayor Klangstone has been detected, selected and elected on two occasions. He has also been corrected many times. He is the only mayor we have ever known. The infamous Rob Ford received honorable mention once or twice, but Mayor Klangstone was obviously far more colorful.

As James said his Frugalness is a good man, might be in over his head but a good man...actually the only man for the job....Marion Barry declined....Rob Ford abdicated prior to us getting swept up in that Alberta clipper a few days ago...eh? And to Mr Miller, thanks brah.....out herding cats in the back 40... Thanks for holding down the Ponderosa in my absence....
