I hope security is tight about keeping people in their assigned sections. If too many nose bleed, obstructed, and no view folks move into the GA field or pit, there would be no elbow room. That would be unfair to people who belong there legitamately. I was at Berkeley Greek Symphonic 8.1.2014 in the last row of chairs. People from GA stood and danced in the corridor behind us for the whole show. They were blocking the view of those seated in the first few rows of bench seats. Including Mountain Girl! Security should have moved them along. I sat in Bill Graham Civic far to the side for Further in 2011. The sound mix was as good as being in the center.I could distinguish each musician. I suspect SC and Chicago will have good sound mix and video screens for no view seats. To whomever is in charge of deciding what is on the video screen: Keep the camera on the band. Do not change cameras several times per second. If it is Bruce or Trey's turn to play lead, keep the camera on them for the whole time. I cannot stand frequent changing of camera views. How many times do I need to see an audience member? I am hoping to buy all 5 shows on dvd. I like the View From the Vault shows. The camera stayed on the band and changed views at an appropriate pace. It stayed on Jerry while he layed down a riff.Three changes per second is too much! ie. Recent videos from McCartney, Rush, Stones AC/DC. Angus Young flops to the ground and spins in circles, and they show a chick sitting on a dude's shoulder. Jeez!

I received the 356'th ticket confirmation by GDTS in February. I bought $199.50 tickets (2).I left work early yesterday because I was not feeling well. After I got my mail I felt worse. I was happy to get mail from GDTS, but shocked to find tickets for section 224. I coughed up $431 so I would not need binoculars. This is a rotten screw-job. Have mixed feeling about attending now. Both the Grateful Dead and Pete Shapiro made a fortune and did not need to make a triple fortune at the expense of fans. This is like getting a f------ turd for Christmas.

Sorry to get people hopes up that I was disappearing. I check the forum everyday but not gonna spend as much time as I was doing. I see my rants about Santa Clara and the lack of communication regarding an announcement have fallen negatively upon some folks. For that I apologize. Will try to keep the posts to a minimum (as with the complaints as well). Hoping for an announcement, but expecting nothing. I was hoping for an announcement sooner than later so that maybe the current ticket prices would drop and availability of better seats would increase. But I know now what I want is completely irrelevant...(I will have to come to terms with that)

Unlikely Gans/Lambert are gonna take an hour or two to say ....well you can buy the simulcast at $30 per night or $200 for the 3 day package...but the 3 day gives MP3 downloads... Jeez I hope it's not that....but compared to the 5+'grand I have invested in 3 days of my life it's a bargain.... The best I ever had.... I miss Keith Moon too.....

Last Fair Deal in the City

Order in. System worked like a charm. No spinning wheels, no rush (either online or to the post office), confirmation of order already in hand, and at least a chance to complete with the scalpers. CID Tickets

The real question i have is: If you put yourself into the pool and you come out a winner, have you then actually bought the tickets, or do you have a choice to say no at that point?? If you can't go, then is it a serious hassle to sell the tickets even for cost?

Anyone else still in limbo?

I have not gotten a Chicago rejection letter yet, nor have I gotten a confirmation e-mail. At this point all I care about is that my original letter requesting tickets did not get lost in the mail. Are there others of you still waiting...one way or another? Sorry if this has been covered recently...

Just realized I have hotel rooms at both venues but no tickets! WTF, FTW! Well, I think it will work out fine. I'll only be going to Santa Clara if I get tix though. Chicago I'm in with the rest of the Daydreamers regardless.

The cost for an obstructed view 2 day pass just dropped to around $800...oh well I would prefer SFO I think over ORD I think, closer to home and if I am coming to the US, SFO is on the list of places I would like to visit...been to ORD.

Hopefully Dire Wolf won't murder me and rrrggrrr won't leave my dead ass by the side of the road. NO more rants about Santa Clara or not having a ticket. The boys are doing their best to deter the scalpers, this is great news. Can't ask anymore from them. It took awhile but we got our announcement. All is good and right in the GD world. I have a ticket for Friday and a possible ticket for Saturday. Thanks for the Friday miracle, you know who you are! Happy Friday all!
