    You just described where I live. Lucky to be 4 or 5 Deadheads on this side of the state. Had to enjoy the band all by myself. Amazingly one of the others is a district judge.

    You are always welcome to the Buff... I learned a long time ago to let my freak flag fly At work at home everywhere Got ostracized, criticized and alienated... But you know what.... It has freed me, so now I know who my friends are...and more importantly who aren't..... I agree the Dead culture is an acquired taste and much left of center..... And a special thank you to the almighty great and powerful Wizard of...DA...geoknowwho... My path is mine and mine alone, your mileage may vary... So please don't follow in my steps...you might not like where you end up..... But goddammit, I'm a deadhead and I MISS JERRY! Can I get a witness?

    Possible that Theaters will announce advance ticket sales in order to assure sell out. Once this has been achieved then market can be reassessed to determine if home viewing is viable. Living 250 miles from the nearest theater that would even consider showing FTW, I have been down this exact same road many times.

    My acoustics SUCK - I don't even own a TV. I sold my turntable years ago to move to Europe (amp too) As for the group experience - definitely, but I am a loner in a sea of people asking why I even listen to a band that arguably died in the late 70's...I caught a lot of flack for saying I even wanted to go to a Dead concert. People don't get it and they look at you like you are crazy when you say something, so, finding a group that would start to emulate a concert experience...that would be tough (for me at least) And you sir, were one of the very lucky ones (of course you know this) - also my 'independence day' read Canada had already passed so - meh...

    Group experiences happen in the home as well and in a less restrictive and constrictive way.... Can't speak for your entertainment room, but my acoustics don't suck and I'm wired inside and out.... I would NEVER spend Independence Day at a movie theater... But I won't have to... And they could do both....

    Perhaps they are going for the group experience? That is only speculation, but I would rather go to a cinema with 500 people and awesome acoustics, than sit at home eating cheesies and beer...wait...beer, no, most cinemas sell beer now...thank you VIP cinemas!

Anyone planning on bringing a film camera to the shows? 35mm? 120? Why cant we get photo tickets like the tapers. Unless you score 8th row. It does happen and was happly taking pictures the whole show. I'll see you outside the shows taking pictures of your faces so smile smile smile!!! I

Tony, thanks for keeping an eye out for those ticket deals that can help a fellow SDer! It's much appreciated. I PM'd will74, but no dice. He hasn't gotten any other offers, but cheap obstructed view SC tix are not very appealing, even when you sweeten the deal.

Sorry just got back from inspecting the bus..don't worry about the scratches, and yes ma'am you really know how to off-road...but there nothing wrong with kicking up a little mud every now and then..right? Your fashion sense is impeccable...the fuzzy dice and the doggy whose head goes boing boing boing when you hit a bump really make this bus feel like home...oh yeah, that mean people suck bumper sticker rocks... So Geeky....Bus license reinstated.... Baby you can drive my car ummm bus 8 days a week!!!!! Have a fantastic day! One more thing, Lisa is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho... Still no tickets yet. I offered for a Field GA ticket on ebay at $600 and was countered at $650 but that was just before the PPV was announced yesterday so I'm inclined to turn it down at this point.

So far found 2 pair of tighty whiteys, a pair of boxers, 2 thongs, a jock a coffee stained wife beater and a speedo on the floor of the bus.... Hey Geeky those weren't here when you took the wheel...I musta missed one hell of a party! Someone has some 'splainin' to do! Just don't like living in a sty brah....like the last time I flew to India...first 3 hours fine....but damn those bathrooms ripened quickly....no ma'am no prune juice or bran flakes for me.... RRRRRRGGGGGRRRRRRRRR, you still driving this thingy? Being that we are an environmentally friendly group, I have to assume the bus is powered by clean burning no emissions natural gas. So, I am here to help (yes, I'm still here for all of those shaking their heads!) BTW, it is not nice to shake us too much, we might get dizzy. So since I just hopped back on the bus (y'all)(again), there's no need to stop for gas.... ...I had a gigantic burrito for lunch (and it's not the veggie type).
