Thanks marye, think I have to get the Agora 78 show, although the December 15' 1978 Winterland is no slouch either.....and you are correct I have never seen a bad Springsteen show.... Forgot all about East/West..will have to dig it out.... Blood on the Tracks is a fan favorite..... Never thought Bruce would have such universal appeal, always figured he was more of an east coast phenomenon....

I.e., vinyl? Off the top of my head, and I might say something different tomorrow. They're all old because almost all my vinyl is old: Last Waltz (The Band and various) East/West (Butterfield) Layla (Derek and the Dominos) Born to Run (Bruce; I think Agora 1978, while now legal, is not on vinyl. I have it in pretty much every other format known to man, starting with an off-air recording from KSAN. Best Bruce show ever, though I have no complaints about the ones I actually saw.) Blood on the Tracks (Dylan)

once Clarence became a Bay Area local, more or less, he would turn up in the darndest places. I recall a particularly epic tech company Christmas party that included Clarence with a band, Chris Isaak and his band, and another band whose name eludes me but they were equally good. Those were the days!

67, 69..eh. agree a Bruce show is right up there with the Dead but nothing similar at all other than being the best. last time i saw Bruce was at an Obama rally in 2008...walking from a Browns game back to the parking lot, we came across an Obama rally in downtown Cleveland. Bruce did a few acoustic solo songs. Don't recall much about it other than it was a spectacle. Clarence wailing on the sax to jungleland, live, is worth the price of admission, tho you always get/got so much more. I miss Clarence.

And btw its a 69 Chevy with a 396, fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor..... But I digress..... God, I last saw Bruce in Cleveland in 2012 at Quicken Loans, he played that song and it made the 3 hour road trip worth while.... For me a good Boss show rivals the Dead, but for different reasons..... Saw the last Clarence show in 2009, over 4 hours long ....no set break and a 45 minute 7 song encore....

'o nuts? OK, now I really do have to go find some chocolate. Tough road -- there is danger in learning to appreciate fine chocolate, sorta like good wine. Impossible to go back to the plebian, when you get used to good stuff.

The dark stuff (w/out nuts) is my fancy, but it's not the most patrician chocolate. Good for the heart, though. OK, I gotta get back to work before I end up separated from my gainful employment. Peace out, Daydreamers!

Mad Swan, I broke my phone yesterday as well. The screen at least. Oh, well, such is life when you forget that picking up that piece of litter means that gravity will induce a separation between phone and pocket. One man gathers what another man spills. Errrrg, sounds like you and Reese's Oreo need to get a room! You know this space is getting hot. I never knew tastebuds had such vast capabilities.... Have a grate day everyone!

...my bet is Lord Stanley's chalice will grace at least one of the shows. Watching it show up all over town was one of the fun-nest parts of the Hawks win. Hey, does anyone remember the year of the giant inflatable purple dinosaur? What about the "unbroken paper chain" that got passed from one side of the Horizon to the other?

Cookies are in my top 5 desert island foods. I thought it would be fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies (maybe oatmeal chocolate chip - hold the raisins please), but I might include ALL cookies so that ALL Oreo flavors and maybe some Pepperidge Farm might be included. Kristine - YES. Any kind of peanut-butter related Oreo sounds like breakfast. My tutu (grandmother in Hawaii) and I had been known from time to time to enjoy a nice moist piece of chocolate cake for breakfast there in paradise. All - there exist both peanut butter AND Reeses peanut butter Oreos. The Reese ones are among the limited edition, such as are the Red Velvet Cake ones... peanut butter > Reese peanut butter ones. Birthday cake flavor > peanut butter. Red Velvet = birthday cake (maybe birthday cake slightly better than Red Velvet). Klang I will have to try the half and halfsies. I have not tried the mint or the (lemon?) yellow ones yet. Anyone? Okay. I have some strange strains of OCD, but you still love me. xo Stellz

Y'all have done it to me now. I couldn't just get the coffee from Starbucks this afternoon. No, I felt strangely compelled to see if there were any CHOCOLATE COOKIE treats. Found one--they call it "flourless" but it tasted just fine to me. They looked at me funny when I tried to order a Reese's Oreo cookie, though.
