Heavy dose that night...great show with lots of fun on the floor
Camped out
in a field on campus and nobody bothered us! Spent the day milling around town having a high time meeting all kinds of wonderful people. Helped out some locals and bought a " dead place to be" shirt. Thanks for the hospitality, you rock! We were five rows back from the stage and I had one of those moments we've all experienced when you're hair stands on end. It was during It's All Over Now Baby Blue. I was up swaying and groovin' with what the guys on stage were sharing with us when I felt like I was being singled out for some reason- yeah I know, weird. I opened my eyes and looked around and I was the only one standing. really. I looked at the stage and Jer was staring at me. I smiled and quickly sat down. My apologies if I was blocking anybodys view.
Great Recording
There is an excellent audience recording available for this show. The sound quality is top-notch and the energy from the show comes through well. Lots of clapping, whooting, and hollering. You would think it was Winterland '74 or something.
Wish I could have been there, but I was 3 years old.

I was a student at Bucknell-a bit to the east of Penn State. We blasted out for the show through the cornfields. I had a boom box with a mike input and an OK JVC stereo mike-none of which they let me bring into the venue. I had to check it at the coat check. When the second set started, I went to the coat check, got my cheesy (although at the time perfectly adequate) taping gear and made like I was leaving the show. BUT NO-I ducked into the show when the mayhem of the second set starting caused a stir. Got a memorable tape of second set-the China Doll really got me and stuck with me to this day...Jerry meant it.

The First of Many
My first and favorite show. I saw the light during Scarlet-Fire, still one of the best I've ever heard. Decades later and hundreds of shows under my belt, I can still feel that energy of the first time coarse through my veins. Popped my cherry that night!
