Are there any morereal cowboys Left out in these hills? Will the fire hit the iron One more time? And will one more dusty pick-up Coming rolling down the road With a load of feed before the sun gets high? Well, I hope that working cowboy never dies. Not the one that's snortin' cocaine When the honky-tonk's all closed But the one that prays for more rain Heaven knows That the good feed brings the money And the money buys the clothes Not the diamond sequins shining on TV But the kind the working cowboy really needs. Are there any more country families Still working hand in hand Trying hard to stay together And make a stand? While the rows and rows of houses Come creepin' up on the land Where the cattle graze and an old grey barn still stands Are there any more real cowboys in this land? Are there any more real cowboys in this land?

Something pretty close to real cowboys still exist in the very rual areas of the country...and the wild west is still in the hearts of most midwesterners...me included An old cowboy went ridin out one dark and windy day Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way When all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he saw Plowin through the ragid skies and up a cloudy draw Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky For he saw the riders comin hard and he heard their mournful cries Yippie i ohhh ohh ohh Yippie i aye ye ye Ghost riders in the sky Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred Their shirts all soaked with sweat He's ridin hard to catch that herd But he aint caught em yet Cause they got to ride forever in that range up in the sky On horses snortin fire as they ride on hear their cries As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name 'if you wanna save your soul from hell a-ridin on our range Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride Tryin to catch the devil's herd across these endless skies Yippie i ohhh oh oh Yippie i aye ye ye Ghost riders in the sky Ghost riders in the sky Ghost riders in the sky

Smile though your heart is aching Smile even though it's breaking When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by If you smile through your fear and sorrow Smile and maybe tomorrow You'll see the sun come shining through for you Light up your face with gladness Hide every trace of sadness Although a tear may be ever so near That's the time you must keep on trying Smile, what's the use of crying? I mean, just because you're a musician doesn't mean all your ideas are about music. So every once in a while I get an idea about plumbing, I get an idea about city government, and they come the way they come.-Jerry Garcia 6 weeks, 3 days, and 14 hours until show time in Levi's Stadium. 7 weeks, 2 days, and 12 hours until show time in Soldier Field. 6 weeks, 2 days, and 4 hours until we set up camp at Klang's house for the Sunshine Daybreamer weekend BBQ. "Klang" will be a notorious prefix, sort of like "gate" is now as a suffix, except "Klang" will have good connotations the polar opposite of the "gate" suffix. Ex: that was a Klanggood time or what a Klanger of a FTW show or too bad Trey isn't a Klanger.....

Tinfoil. Meeting your psychonaut needs for over 50 years. 6 weeks, 2 days, and 12 hours until showtime in Levi's Stadium. 7 weeks, 1 day, and 10 hours until showtime in Soldier Field. Thomas Edison recorded Mary had a Little Lamb on tin in 1877. He immediately realized tin makes an awfully flimsy record. He promptly fashioned the recording into a tinfoil hat and placed it on his head. He then began reciting Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary instead. He jumped so high, he touched the sky. Never got back until the fourth of July. True story. Really..... Patch those Sails and Shine those Rails!

Two years and nary a trip down the cookie aisle. A serendipitous left turn led me to this sugar wonderland, past the Mint Milanos and directly to Oreo cookie land, with sights, sounds (OK, maybe the sounds were my own) and flavor combinations heretofore unimaginable. There, sitting by its lonesome, was a single package of Reese's Oreos. Fueled by promises of (ahem) oral pleasure, I rescued that package, and as dog is my witness, consummated our bond on the NSFW drive home. Alas, it may be a spring fling, but for one night, the sugar and chemicals flowed. Edison has his pretty maids all in a row but pb and chocolate is where it's at. Spill the wine and take that pearl! Patching and shining and ready to set sail over the mountains in six weeks--have a grateful day, dreamers!
