Sorry for the losses. Light & Love be with them, Light & Love be with us all. But we're all bound to cover just a little more ground, right? Loved Trixie's interview. Looking forward to some shows. I knew there'd be more, but all the confirmation make-a-me happy. All I can say after reading these posts is Thank Great Spirit for Dead Heads and all they're kind acts of good goodness, kind kind-heartedness, and exploration into the higher realms of consciousness. I think I'm gonna go sit in the grass with flowers in my hair...I love Zep too;)

Sorry for your loss..... Come forth, from love's pyre Born in life's fire, Born in life's fire Come forth, from love's pyre In the burning, of our yearning For life to be And in pain there will (must) be gain New Life! Stirring in salty streams And dark hidden seams Where the fossil sun gleams They were, sent from (to) the gates Ride the tides of fate Ride the tides of fate They were, sent from (to) the gates In the burning of our yearning For life to be There is no end to my life, no beginning to my death.... ....death is life...... it's the wheel HAnk..... Carpe' diem....

I know....and I miss Jerry...... Its my life's metaphor for all I've lost in my nearly 57 years....parents, friends, relatives, my own mobility for chrissakes..... Gotta be mindful kid, live in the moment, nobody guaranteed us a tomorrow... Every minute that you are aware of your surroundings, and there are loads of distractions preventing that, do something kind for someone, anyone....that way when you're gone, you will leave this earth a better place..... Cuz it's not about us......you or me....it's about US!,,,, on a grander scale..... done pontificating.....getting ready for the mines.....that's where I mainly spend my time...... peace from my pipe.....

Thanks, silly kids just don't know when to quit. So this young man used to date this girl and I met them when I first moved to STL when I was 18. They parted ways but we all stayed friends. Then one day she decided she'd had enough and jumped off a parking garage at university of missouri stl. Today he was found dead...and not gratefully so. I've been losing my friends since I was 15. Its so weird being this young and knowing so many dead people. I love you guys and you already know I want to be an organ donor. Though I plan on going nowhere but the great outdoors. Go hug someone for me...

the boy gets it from the better half's side..... btw....Rory Gallagher was amazing....just found him on SXM Deep Tracks...... Irish Stevie Ray Vaughn.....for lack of a better analogy.... recommend Irish Tour album to start with... This hotel bar is full of people, The piano man is really laying it down, The old bartender is as high as a steeple, So why tonight should I wear a frown? The joint is jumpin' all around me, And my mood is really not in style, Right now the blues flock to surround me, But I'll break out after a while. Yes I'm a million miles away, I'm a million miles away, I'm sailing like a driftwood, On a windy bay, On a windy bay. I'm a million miles away, I'm a million miles away, But I'm sailing like a driftwood, On a windy bay, On a windy bay. Why ask how I feel, Well, how does it look to you? I fell hook, line and sinker, Lost my captain and my crew. I'm standing on the landing, There's no one there but me, That's where you'll find me, Looking out on the deep blue sea. There's a song on the lips of everybody, There's a smile all around the room, There's conversation overflowing, But I sit here with the blues. This hotel bar has lost all its people, The piano man has caught the last bus home, The old bartender just collapsed in the corner, Why I'm still here, I just don't know, I don't know. I'm a million miles away, A million miles away, I'm sailing like a driftwood on a windy bay, On a windy bay. I'm a million miles away, A million miles away, I'm sailing like a driftwood on a windy bay, Send me away...

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.
