I just don't want to see all the name calling and hostility. I hope no one has misinterpreted my posts, I realize this is a discussion board where people share thoughts and opinions..it just seemed to get really down and dirty there for a while - ya know? I can handle arguing points back and fourth, but it just kind of crossed the line a couple times - at least in my opinion. But hopefully we're heading down a better, more amicable path now.

Unfortunately there are a few people in here who like to antagonize others just to start a confrontation. That is true on any site that let's you post your thoughts. I am guilty of lashing out at those people too because you get tired of hearing their crap but the most effective thing we all can do is just ignore them. They are looking for a response out of us - a confrontation. "Everybody's braggin' and drinking that wine, I can tell the queen of diamonds by the way she shines. Yeah, the name-calling and drama is something we could all do without. That said, it is equally ridiculous for people to be calling for "an end to the negativity" just because MANY people are upset with the ticket snafus and the inflated price for seeing the band. This is a DISCUSSION page, not an "everything is rosy in our little bubble" page. From my perspctive, people are justifiably pissed and others are justifiably happy. Period. For me, I think the prices are too high to justify the "event", given the uneven performances in the past and the fact the Warren Haynes (wonderful player and person that he is) is simply not the greatest fit for this band, (Don't get me started on why Hornsby or Larry or Jackie or even Kimock(despite his and Phil's "history" weren't considered)... But what the hell, it's their job to pick the players, do their best and for those of us willing to shell out a hundred bucks a piece, to enjoy and judge whether it was worth it. It would have to be one of the best dead shows I have seen in 37 years of being a fan to justify the cost of the flight, ticket, lodging, etc, so I am simply going to take a pass on this one. And then hope Phil and Friends make a run through at some point, or even Dark Star---That, to me, comes closer to the bone of what Jerry's spirit brought to the band--- But that's just me. Everyone going, enjoy the show! Everyone not going, oh well, maybe next time.

yo moye, A for effort. Happy Easter to you and everyone else, too!! also, folks, watch out for counterfeit tickets!! please don't buy ANYTHING from people you don't know. worst case: it is some poisen and you end up dead or in the ER other bad case: it is an undercover-fuzz selling you to set you up for a fall. (scalper or other stuff undercover fuzz) totally dissapointing scenario: you think you have a tix, but get turned back and shut out at the door trying to get in with a bogus ticket you bought off some asshole. PLEASE be carfeul with everything. drive safe!

From seeing the set list and hearing a bit from the stream is it a fair assessment that the show rocked last night? "When the smoke has cleared she said, that's what she said to me. You're gonna want a bed to lay your head and a little sympathy"

Blew the roof off the top of the Greensboro Coliseum last night. Yes indeed, the show did ROCK! I wish Warren was a little more melodic with his leads, but why quibble? My internal organs are still shaking...GO AND SEE THIS TOUR!

Thank you to all in the Grateful Dead family for putting on this tour. Greensboro was an amazing musical experience. I am so grateful to this wonderful organization to offer the downloads of these shows as well. It always has been about the music. Sunday night in Greensboro was un-disputable proof that the boys are STILL the greatest band going. Thank you Phil,Bobby,Billy,Mickey,Jeff and Warren(who, by the way, did an amazing, amazing job filling those shoes. He was not flashy. Just showed in his own style, that he is one of the greatest guitarists on the scene today.) For all the Deadheads that will be attending the rest of the tour--enjoy yourselves. These shows are truly a gift to all the fans who realize just how special this music has been to us since the beginning. HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!

Can't believe that in 48 hours I will be in the parking lot of a Dead Show!!!! It has been 14 long years... can't believe it. They played Ripple last night - so psyched to hear the recording, but a little bummed I missed it, cuz most likely won't come out tomorrow - I'm also going Sunday so I will hope for that - and here is why: I am going with my 14 year old son who is incredibly pumped to be seeing the Dead. He thought he would never get the chance. Now...when he was a baby I would sign him to sleep with... Ripple. The song became a real bond between us through the years, so when I heard that they played it in NYC I thought that it would be the perfect moment (OK, that and the fact I never saw it live when we were all still Grateful too). I am so excited I can hardly keep a thought in my head. You know what - never mind - I don't care what they play. WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO
