    Possible xtras for Chi-Town...
I mail ordered a pair for Chicago and am hopeful that I'll get them. In an effort to hedge my luck, I was able to grab a pair from the evil Ticketmaster when tickets hit the street. If GDTSTOO comes through, I will be left with an xtra pair that I will happily lay on someone for face value. They will be of the cheap(?) $50.00 variety and as soon as I know for sure, we can pursue a path of easy transaction. If interested, PM me. see y'all out there, DooDahh His job is to shed light, not to master...

Well it's about time Congressman asks for investigation of Ticketmaster, TicketsNow over Springsteen By George Gombossy on February 3, 2009 2:44 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) PASCRELL SEEKS INVESTIGATION INTO TICKETMASTER BUSINESS PRACTICE WITH SUBSIDIARY, TICKETNOW Press release: WASHINGTON-- U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today requested that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division investigate Ticketmaster's relationship with its subsidiary company, TicketsNow, following the company's handling of ticket sales for the Bruce Springsteen tour that became available on Monday February 2. Dear Chairman Kovacic: I am writing today to direct your attention to a potential conflict of interest regarding Ticketmaster and its affiliate company, TicketsNow. This issue has been brought to my attention through constituent complaints and press reports regarding the online sale of Bruce Springsteen concerts tickets at the IZOD Center in New Jersey and other locations all across the country. As you know, Ticketmaster is a large ticket sales and distribution company that often serves as a venue's sole ticketing agent. A large percentage of their sales are made online through Ticketmaster.com. In a recent effort expand its business Ticketmaster acquired TicketsNow, a website which specializes in the secondary, resale market for tickets. When tickets for Bruce Springsteen's new tour went on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, scores of fans in New Jersey were met with technical difficulty on Ticketmaster.com that impaired them from making a purchase. Thousands of others who were fortunate enough to get beyond the technical problems were informed that the shows were sold out. Conspicuously placed on the same screen that informed fans of ticket unavailability was an alternative purchasing option from TicketsNow.com. It offered the same tickets at a value marked up hundreds of dollars beyond their original face value. I am troubled by how quickly tickets priced exponentially higher became available on the secondary market to thousands of rejected fans, many who also endured unfortunate technical problems on Ticketmaster.com. I am concerned that the business affiliation between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow may represent a conflict of interest that is detrimental to the average fan. There is a significant potential for abuse when one company is able to monopolize the primary market for a product and also directly manipulate, and profit from, the secondary market. Additionally, the speed with which tickets were made available on Ticketmaster's official resale affiliate site raises questions about whether TicketsNow brokers were given preferential treatment instead of competing on a level playing field with average consumers to purchase the tickets. With so many families struggling in this economy, I am outraged by how expensive tickets to ball games, concerts and other shows have become. I understand the economic principles that have driven up the cost of entertainment, but will not tolerate unjust business practices that put regular Americans at a disadvantage. I respectfully request that your office investigate the relationship between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to ensure that the procedure for purchasing tickets remains fair to the average consumer. If you require any additional information or have any questions, please contact Arthur Mandel on my staff at (202) 225-5751. I look forward to the favor of your reply. Sincerely, Bill Pascrell, Jr. Member of Congress

Hey now,I have 2 good seats for the 19th that I got pre-sale, but ended up with others after, so now need to get rid of 2. Too expensive to eat, so I am hoping for as close to face value as possible, as they are really good seats. One is ON THE FLOOR, in Sec 4. The other is in Sec 126! I would like $100 each (face is $96.25 each, but I had to pay another $12.50 for processing/shipping...ouch! :( The show is in 4 daze, so act quickly and secure these most excellent seats! If interested, send me a private message to leshweirD profile for contact as I will check often. It's gonna be a Grate show!!!

I bloopered and have a gaggle of extras (friends hope/credit card flux backtrack)...anyways...i can sell mine for cost; cannot afford to trade (at least for these shows-others?) or giveaway (sorry): 10th: dandy seat, almost center, aisle; section 201 - 20th row (of 26) ($114) 14th: nice side section (first at left of stage) - 200, 1 row above 11 rows... ($124) good thing about side section is easy access to lawn & walk fun without all the mezz walk May 9th: the Fabulous Forum: 3 singles , not together for the Fabulous Forum (Los Angeles/Inglewood) 2 singles in lodge, catty corner seat on each side of the hall - from straight back (this is a 60's basketball arena) so may be best for sound. Lodge is the lower balcony. Cost is $95 each. (Catty corner is the curve of the corners, vs. straight back in flat part). I also have one "ceiling dance spot" - just in front of the stage (colonaide) Also @ $95 because its so close to the stage - just in front of the stage-rather than behind or more than half way back. We used to sit up there in the 70's so we could "see the man coming to get us" and toss fear aside (thick as a brick!) Let anyone know..-ok? I can't believe the fiasco of extras and $$ Enjoy life inanycase! Keep your character, enjoy living, share your fortune, OXOX Merple Reddin meopted@yahoo.com

Hi - Just found out my friend can't make sunday night's concert at DCU center, Worcester, really not sure how they get the pronunciation out of that spelling. Anyway I have one extra for Sunday section 107, row EE, actually really good seat, row EE is the third row in the first level. Looking for face value, I paid face plus ticketbastard charges, or looking to trade for a saturday night ticket. I can meet at the venue before the show. I am also one of the many unlucky searching for 1 or 2 MSG's. I guess email me if you are interested. Thanks. Tom tbkone@gmail.com

I know this may sound a bit unusual, but this is what Im trying to do for the Spectrum shows, if anyone is interested. I have 2 tix to each night, however they are behind the stage (I have no problem sitting there, my verizon center tix were behind and it sounded great, but I just want to see one show this tour from the front) So, what I am offering is this: I will trade the tix I have (Fri:(65$)sec 422 row 1 seats 8 & 9 OR...Sat:(95$) sec 223, row 16, seats 16 & 17) + cash for your tix that are in a section that is out in front of the stage. If anyone would be willing to consider this, please post your email or PM me, and I'll get in touch with you ASAP. Thanks very much...enjoy the shows!!
