Right on, my friend. Enjoy the shows and when you see the Florida plates come on over and introduce yourself and we'll break bread. Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.

Doesn't matter what they call themselves, they've gathered themselves together for one reason... they love the music, and together they can make some special music that I have not found with any other combination of players. Jerry may not be on stage, but he still inspires these guys (see the recent video). What magic they can make when their inspriation flows through them, an energy beyond the notes they play. The priviledge of sharing those moments when they create that magic is well worth the price of admission. "there're not only the best at what they do... they're the only ones who do what they do!" Bill Graham and as for the price... it's not easy to come up with the funds, but it's relative... it wasn't easy to come up with the 12.50 I paid in '84 for my first show (Actually I think I traded a ride to the show for the ticket and party favors)... anyway... I've paid a lot more for a lot less recently and I know the band has to fork over a ton of cash to move this party all over the country, pay roadies, truckers, promoters, etc. Bottom line... if I didn't think the priveledge of spending my time with this group of musicians and the most amazing community of friends and freaks was worth $100, I'd find something else to do and stop worrying about the way other people choose to live their lives... But that's just me....

Im sorry my friend, but three of the founding members(plus Mickey)is hardly a cover band! I agree they're charging way too much, but to call them a COVER BAND is just silly--BTW--I just heard about that band SPLINTERED SUNLIGHT--someone else spoke highly of them. Do they tour nationally?(esp.Boston area)Do you have a Tour schedule you could post? Are they as good as DSO? peaceout-G

I keep seeing people post how this is "the Dead" and they are worth it. I agree, on one condition; JERRY MUST PLAY!!!!!!!!! Without him this is a really good Dead cover band. With the state of the economy, for them to charge these prices is fiscally irresponsible. Jerry NEVER would have allowed this. It is sad, but predictable. So for all of you hoping to see "the Dead", too late. There is a great cover band, Splintered Sunlight, they even have a guy who sounds like Jerry. Check them out, it probably costs about 10 bucks.

Thanks for that-you bring up some good points-Maybe im being a little paranoid about bringin' the wee ones. Outdoor and GA are key. My whole point was I would'nt bring them to an arena show-I wish I was near REDROCKS-that must be sweet-but maybe i'll bring em to RATDOG at the tweeter center this summer! Thanks again,bro-peace GARCIALATER!

Was amazing! Great vibes all through the Shakedown across from the DCU. The music was tight, the crowd was just a sea of positive energy. Security was at a bare minimum. I think that about sums it up :-).

From what i understand, T Gore went to Congress to urge 'Warning Labels' to be put on explicit material..she wasn't out to censor the music.... Touchy subject, but i see both sides of the coin...

I remember when Tipper was second lady and Mickey used to visit the White House to give her drumming lessons. How cool was that? And, does anyone remember her at the opening ceremony for the Atlanta Olympics when she sat by Al's side as he grooved with Mickey's performance? And, as I write this on Earth Day, more than a tip of my hat, I say hat's off, to her for giving Al the idea to create a companion book for his slide show, which ended up getting his climate message out to an even wider audience. It was great to see some Deadhead DC royalty up on that stage. I figure she was Obama's ambassador of Dead. We're everywhere. No doubt about it.

April 23, (Earth Day plus 1), tune into CBS to see The Dead sitting-in with Dave and Paul Schaefer. Pull out the Closing of Winterland video and check out the Blues Brothers gig, and see if you recognize the keyboardist.

...Yeah, The whole scene at Worc. Sun. night was sweet- My wife and I arrived real early(11:30) and found a real cool lot right next to the DCU and it was already buzzing with Tourheads setting up shop(nice) We met tons of cool people and the weather was sweet! It was my wife's first REAL Dead show and she kept sayin' "This is so cool,No wonder you always went to The Dead" Sorry to say though-She liked the show,But she was'nt really down w/the early 60's stuff they played or the long jams(Both of which I LOVED) She was like, "I liked "Uncle John's Band" and "Fire on the mountain" and "Good Lovin"... But not all the "long jamming"..In her defense though, She's used to concerts where the band plays all their "hits" every night...(BORING).. But I said "Hun, That's not what The Dead is all about...It's about exploration of music and mind, and new discoveries."......Long silence.....Weird look...Then,"Well I liked "Uncle John's Band" HaHaHa!!!! Oh well, Ya' cant win 'em all !!! :-)(-: Next Stop-RATDOG Hampton Beach This July...This time maybe she'll GET SHOWN THE LIGHT........P.S. Thank-you D&K for a wonderful time in Worcester....It TRULY was magical..............Peace. ♪♪♪♪:-)

Same lot we were at, we stayed at the Hilton so we had a clear view before we even headed down. We probably crossed paths several times. We are going to see Bob Weir-RatDog at the Festival Up North in Aug. I am trying to get a feel on the scene there though. So many friggin rules listed on their website. I am wondering if it is just a CYA situation or if they are really that strict.

Haa thats great! I had to chuckle .. Reminds me of my wife. She's a great sport and she has warmed up to the music and enjoys the shows and the scene but still to this day she still doesn't "get it". She wants me to take her to Reo Speedwagon and Styx... uhhh yeah sure I say... :-) Oh and 38 special let's not forget them they'll be there too :-) "When the smoke has cleared she said, that's what she said to me. Being a veteran of many shows at the Coliseum, last night was amazing. Just the scene in the lot was trans-splendid. Vending, partying, drumming and everyone was cool... even the police. They sat there, on horseback, and just smiled. Every scalper was selling seats at half box office price. Karma's a bitch, dude. The show jammed out. Lost Sailor Easy Wind fucking brilliant. Kudos out to everyone for making it a Grateful Dead experience. Truly a high time for one and all. Peace and Love. This is the only show I could make this year, by some miracle or miracles . The reviews have been sweet, as well as the set lists. Not to put down anyone, but the UNCOOL and UNKIND ones please keep the good times roll. Leave the bunk in the trunk. Seriously if a DEADHEAD ruled the world or even advised this wonderful country we belong to, why would u take your family for a fool. Need to shake my bones and take in all the love. Went to the Worcester shows with wife and friend. He paid $100 for some plain white blotter from someone that "looked" like a head, talked like a head, and appeared to be honest, but alas, it was bunk. What a bummer, not only did he trust that he was going to get something good to enhance the time at the show, he is out $100! I know that's the chances one takes, but unlike the "old" days, the costs have gone up so you feel the loss that much more.

I can remember back in 98, I never had any trouble with "enhancing" my shows on further tour. I'm beginning to think that the LUV has left the lot.... I hope I run into this guy in Philly!!! I know exactly what this asshole looks like, chances of that are slim to none tho.Peace- Moye

I've got the Jersey & Philly shows coming up. My buddy is joining us for those ones too, and it probably would not be a good scene to run into that "wolf" as he would just as soon give him a $100 worth of ass whoop! In a way I would love to see him get a beating, the crook, but wouldn't want to have to deal with any possible arrests as that would be insult to injury!I guess the "grateful family" has been infiltrated by those that have no problem thieving. I know they have always been out there, but it definitely becomes more personal when they burn you! ! What it ends up doing in the end, sadly, is make it hard to trust the next person.

I don't even want the guys ass beat, I just want my buddys $160.00 back!! Hell, with $160.00 I could of got another floore seat for Chitown shows and a concert shirt. Ive had more luck with DSO shows then this tour so far. Oh well, its all about the music anyway. EVERYBODY!!! Watch each card you lay and play it slow.Peace- Moye

Hi- Here's the deal. I'm a taper and have a taper ticket for both nights at Izod in NJ. I have floor tickets to get my wife and kids onto the floor with me on Tuesday but not Wednesday (they're 5 & 3 and she's pregnant) so I need them to be close to me. I need to trade my 3 regular tickets for Wednesday for 3 floor tickets. They can be ANYWHERE on the floor (the further back, the better for me). The 3 regular tickets I have are in Section 122 which are RIGHT ON THE SIDE near the stage! These are MUCH better seats than the back of the floor. Of course, I will hook you up w/ copies of the shows from Nassau, MSG, the 2 nights of NJ and the 2 nights of Philly (the 6 I went/am going). Please let me know asap!! Thanks!!
