Any chance you can submit them to Dead.Net for us to enjoy? Cool show to be your first and glad you had the presence of mind to bring your camera. :-)

    My First Show...

I have a few great photos I took from this show. I was pleasantly surprised at how kind the folks were on the front row (and security) to allow me to stand right up front for a song and snap some treasures.

    The bus came by...
This was my first show, and, of course, we had all the proper, um, enhancements. There was a whole crowd of us: my brother, Snake, the Old Hippeye (RIP, Matthew), the Greek Man and a couple of others from KU. A good show that holds up real well to repeated listening. It was along about Stella Blue, near the end, when I really GOT it, when I realized with crystal clarity that this was a band unlike anyone else I'd ever seen or ever would see. It's been nearly 40 years and I'm still on the bus.

I remember the thing about this show that really amazed me was that even though it was a small place and we were sitting in the back, we could just walk up and lean against the stage for a song or two whenever we wanted. We didn't get in anybody's way or anything. Just walk right up...

It was a great show. From beginning to end, every song made me happy that I was alive and tripping out to a Dead show!

If I would’ve been asked before I undertook this extensive review of the fall tour shows what the worst shows from the tour were, this would have made the short list. As it turns out, a show that doesn’t have a Help>Slip>Frankin, Scar>Fire, Dew, Stephen or even a Terrapin, ends up being one of the better ones. Tenn Jed (one of my least favorite Jerry songs but almost always done well in 77/78 period), Lazy Light > Supp are the 1st set highlights. Everything in the 1st set is very well done. To be fair, the 1st few tracks of the 2d set aren’t really needed, though are played just fine, but the rest of the 2d set is very compelling stuff. He’s Gone and Stella Blue, 2 songs that can be real downers at times, have just the right mood and feel just exactly perfect. The outro in He’s Gone and the jam/2d solo in NFA are special, as is the 2d solo in GDTRFB. Great show, 9.5/10

I cant recall many details but loved the band and the overall vibe. I was young and so so ready to party and that was just the place to do it......for the next 30 years. We had fun and watched the sun come up. How I traveled from Tulsa to Lawrence and got together with my high school buddy without a cell phone and texting is still a mystery to me.
