Got ideas for how things should be run differently in the Vineyard? Improvements? Suggestions? Brainstorms? Truckloads of fertilizer? Post here.,On the floor at MSG... one perfect song after another...and we were beyond elated with disbelief and gratitude. This was truely a fantasy set list and, in my opinion, the best of my 8 show run.

I will be out of vine world for a bit
I am going to raft the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. On the water 16 days. Will be back mid-July. I have sent out all the vines that were here. If any arrive will I am gone I will send as soon as I can when I get back.
Thank you all for well wishes for the person in my family that is sick that I have been helping out. She is doing better and a family member will be helping out while I am gone.

a vine killer brother tom is not
In my vine killers post, I included Brother Tom in the second category and had him being suspected in the slayings of 2 vines, Cream Filling and Matrix # 1 (I think those were the two). I messed up re: Cream Filling as the person AFTER him on that vine, Solix, had posted saying he sent it to T.Crawford. So clearly, Brother Tom did NOT kill that vine. As for the other vine, and I believe I posted this, he was the last person on the vine, and no one else signed up for 2 months after he posted having received it. He has been busy at work and will pass it on ASAP. Sorry BT.

my apologies if my pm`s to some of you ( regarding address comfirmations ) seem a little redundent .. I just want to make sure we are all still here . I know that we have some folks who seemed to have vanish on us AGAIN . If you don`t post on a regular basis or are not a long time resident here I will send pm`s for address comfirmation. I don't know if he has since passed on the vines that stalled with him. Here is the relevant excerpt from my original post:
gratefulmikes appears to have killed at least 8 vines (funiculi funicula, 93 by request, Legion of Mary, Winterland June 77, NYE 83, Summer 82, Greek 84 and LOM Mystery). NOTE THAT he is signed up to soon receive Europe 74 so heads up birdsong1969nj and Jimbo (unclear who has it right now)!!!! He may also have killed Red Rocks 9/8/83 (or Deadhead Ben never sent it to him)

Huh? Are you saying you think it is better when the vines are smaller (ie the 1973 SHN/FLAC vines which are 2 DVDs per part) or larger (ie the April 71 which was 5 DVDs)? I have been trying to mix them up. The 1973 SHN/FLAC vines are all 2 DVDs each and the 1970 SHN/FLAC Part 1 (and Part 2 coming soon) and Early 1973 SHN/FLAC, which I just posted, are 4 DVDs each.

I like the smaller vines too. I made the 1973 SHN/FLAC vines 2 DVDs, but then the same people were signing up in the same order, so they were going to receive more than 1 2 DVD vine at one time. So I figured I might as well make my next ones 4 DVDs each (1970 SHN/FLAC). When I finally put together the 1977 vines (see 1977 Project thread for more info), I will have to make each part 4 or 5 DVDs, as there will be about 25 DVDs total, and I don't want to do 10 parts.
The bigger vines are more efficient in the sense that you only need one package, one trip to the post office and a smaller postage fee. The smaller vines should be quicker for people to turn around.

Once upon a time there was a video dvd of Tinley Park from 7/23/90. Jimmy C never received it and his predecessor mailed it without copying it: does SOMEONE have a copy?
Regarding gratefulmike, I bumped into him awhile back in Overland Park, KS. I'll see if I can run into him again and get an update on any vine stockpiling he may be experiencing.

Today marks one year in Vineyard for me!

vine size
I prefer dvd vines of any size . for some reason dvd vines just seem to go easier for me then cdr vines . 2 4 6 dvd`s it`s all good with me . Skipping people ,, while i`m here let`s make sure we skip sakparadise AGAIN .
this is the second time he vanished with , well i don`t know what vines he killed this time . but he is un responsive at the time .
so the let`s skipp list goes as
1) gratefullmikes
2) sakparadise
can anyone think of more to add to this list ? feel free .. any objections also feel free to let me know, but I think something like this list should be posted on a regular basis as people vanish and well I don`t feel like going through every thread searching for mia people and posting . Any thoughts on this ?
Oh also while i`m here I have had a real shity week and vines leaving me have been a little slow and i want to apoligize for that . Sorry for my tardyness folks .I will now post everything that went out yesturday .

I am also concerned about Markinthedark. I have e-mailed him and have not heard anything. It is really not like him. He is a wonderful friend and went out of his way to help me and many others. The sign of a grate human being. Hoping all is well with him. Just know his heart is full of love and he is gone now for something that must be really affecting him. He will remain in our hearts and hopes.

On MitD and Stuman's list. Although I spoke with gratefulmikes right before I left last week. He's super hard to get a hold of. I don't know, its a tough call, but I wouldn't blame you if you skipped him...
BTW I'm back from Rothbury *WOW* and I got a feeling there is a stack of vines waiting for me at the post office. I'll get caught up real soon. Have a grate week...

If someone can`t return a PM they should be skipped , that shows they are unreliable. However we do have some vetrans of the vineyard here that don`t return pm`s but those are
reliable ones, That have been here for a while . I almost skipped Brewsterboy once ,
somone sent me his address and i knew he is reliable . just have to be very observant I guise.
and keep everyone posted as to what is going on with folks .

My big concern though is the vines he killed already. If that was not the case, I would be a little more patient. I want nothing more then for gratefulmikes to come back to us, figure out his vine situation and become a thriving member of this community free to enjoy and share this music.

communication is key to anything in life weather real time life or the virtual life . And yes I`m also worried abt. Mark , I`ve done some pokin around but did not have any luck findidng him . I really hope he is ok .

I`m not sure if everyone reads this ,But
I noticed some confusion with a few vines, Dylan/Dead for instance . you guys have to copy and paste the list from time to time , let`s all try to keep the lists updated . I`m sure your fellow viners would appreciate it .
new vines on the horizon
To whet your appetites, here is what I am working on:
(1) The final 2 parts of the 1977 lossless vine, everything from 6/4-12/31, except for the officially released shows. Part 3 will be posted sometime within the next 2 weeks. I had a problem with a disc and am waiting for someone to send me a replacement. Part 4 will be posted a week after I post Part 3.
(2) Part 2 of the 1970 SHN/FLAC vine. I will post it this week.
(3) November 1972. Bob's vine died a while back and I have these shows. This is probably my lowest priority at the moment though, so y'all will have to sit tight on this.
(4) The rest of 1968. I should soon be receiving just about everything from that year. Bob already vined about 10 shows from 68 in one of the Eurovines. I won't vine those shows and you will need to sign up for both our vines to get everything. The sources will be:

Pretty full plate as you can see. If I may, I am still hoping that a kind soul vines the rest of the spring and summer 90 shows, as well as more from 1988 (esp the only 2 shows in which Gentlemen Start Your Engines were played). Rick has put a good dent in 1988, and he and others have supplied a decent amount of 1990 already, but there is more, and too much of anything is just enough.

of 1974 , it seems to be an illusive year or something ? I love all the new vines , don`t get me wrong . I`m just sayin you don`t see much from "74" .. Everything looks very nice dstache ! Can`t wait !!

I`ve just noticed that I don`t see much 74 anyplace . I can`t remember the last time i`ve seen any 74 on shn/flac.net or any other download site . I do have some 74 but don`t really know exactly what i have . I`m so disorganized !!
