Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1971, 1979 and 1985.
Our first stop this week is on 11/6/71 at the Harding Theatre in San Francisco, where we have this great sequence of That's It For The Other One>Comes A Time, at Keith’s first Bay Area Grateful Dead show. He’d joined the band for the short tour that ran 10/19 to 10/31/71, and then played these two shows at the Harding Theatre.
Next is this high-energy, very solid first set closing sequence from 11/9/79 in Buffalo, NY, featuring Loser; Lazy Lightnin' > Supplication; Althea ; Easy To Love You ; Jack Straw
Lastly this week we have the entire first set from 11/5/85 from Worcester, MA, featuring Hell In A Bucket ; They Love Each Other ; Kansas City ; Tennessee Jed ; It's All Over Now ; Bird Song ; Looks Like Rain > Don't Ease Me In. Kansas City was played in honour of the Royals winning the World Series the previous week.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
