Says it all
This was my last show of about 75. The fact that I had never heard them play I think 6 of the 16 songs says alot about this crazy band. I remember seeing Barlow and his mom in the audience at this show.
Last Show
I still can't believe that these were my last shows. What a bizarre set of nights. I review the set lists now and they actually look pretty good but the sound quality was so bad that it was impossible to hear. Very disappointing. I was living in SLC at the time and was thrilled to have the band come to town but I was not happy about living there. . I moved to San Francisco in July only to have Jerry die a month later. Brings back a strange time with some strange shows.
my final show
I flew out from Hawaii for this show. I haven't listened to it since, so I can't comment on the quality; but the emergence of Visions of Johanna from space is something I will remember all my life...
"..ghosts of electricity howls through the bones of her face...
All time Favorite Dylan song ever..played by my favorite band ever...goosbumps...thanks you Jerry
"Don't the brakeman look good momma, draggin down the EE?"

My last Grateful Dead concert
Interesting that my last Dead show would have my ticket in the very last row in the back. And I enjoyed being in that place. "As the first one now will later be last". Visions of Johanna was super potent. Thank you Grateful Dead alive and passed on.
20 years later
Once the child of innocence over 45 years ago. 20 years ago seeing the writing on the wall. Now well under way to becoming the old man on the mountain. The way it's supposed to be.
