Is the parking lot going to be a typical dead show parking lot? Since it is paid parking? Where will the majority of people be congregating in between the 10th and the 14th?

This will be my first time seeing GD at Shoreline and i am wondering if the parking lot will be a typical "Dead Show" parking lot or will it be different since it is paid parking? Is there an area that allows people to stay in RV"s,etc. during those concert dates? Where will the biggest congregation of people be during those days?

I got 15 shows here I think. One of my favorite outdoor venues. I also caught a Further Festival and a JGB show here. We used to get in early to park near the center meridan so we could lay our blanket out on the lawn outside and visit with all our neighbors. We used to also like going to the park next door and visiting too. Just such a nice thing for BG to do, turn a dump into Dead home field. A real good vibe in Mtn View.

I remember the first few shows there, you had to be careful in the lawn section because of the methane that was being vented form the garbage below! What a...blast those shows were!

The wheel kept turning. Grew up 5 blocks from Pigpen's house (his parents' house) in Palo Alto. Took clarinet & sax lessons from Dana Morgan while Jerry taught guitar and banjo in the room next door (upstairs at Dana's music store). Was on the bus since Warlock days, and found myself in the late 70s and thru the 80s & 90s working as a letter carrier at Palo Alto Post Office, living in Mtn View, about 5 blocks and a jump across Hwy 101 from Shoreline. Only missed a couple of Shoreline shows, and maybe a half dozen Oakland shows. Loved the Fillmore West & Winterland & GGPark & Longshoreman's & Frost & Maples, but "the Dump" was overall my favorite. Whether high :-) on the hill, or down in Tapers, it was fanfreakingtastic.

i lived in SJ, and when i FINALLY realized i liked GD, anytime i could get tix for them here, i would do what i could to go. My arrangement for shows was (dont drive):if you drive you have a ticket to the show i pay gas, simple, easy and effective. i was able to make quite a few different shows with this method. For the life of me, i cant remember what shows i went to exactly, but know that if it was GD, i dont remember going anywhere else for them. also saw Santana there. It is better to be hated for who you ARE, then loved for who you are NOT.

What a great show. I didn't appreciate Shoreline until I looked back on this show after attending this past show May 14th, 2009 in the front row between Phil & Bob of course!

What an awesome place to get your Miracle ticket...wow I loved that show....better yet when I got the ticket I was so excited I went in and was enjoying the show on the grass in the back when the guy who gave me the ticket came up and asked me "what are u doing here?" and I said to him "enjoying the show!' then he said "yeah but what r u doing here girl, look at your ticket..." I took out my ticket and realized it was for like the sixth row back from the stage....I was outta there...and up through security to the front....one funny thing I remember was that I preferred my bare feet on the grass in the back as opposed to the pavement I was then standing on....thats okay though because somehow that pavement just melted away...................................ahh the memories!!!! I only saw the GD a few times - I'm pretty sure the first was here - late 80s (June or July). Around this time I went to 8 or 10 Shoreline concerts a year. Lived only 2 miles away - walked it more than once.

Thanks to those awesome steeples scraping the south bay skies, I had many a transcendent vision during shows at Shoreline. Nothing better than wandering up to the lawn during the break- or being on the lawn during the second set- and watching those white spirals stretch and tease the night sky. Plus, I saw my first Death Don't Have No Mercy at Shoreline so I will always love it.
