Grateful Dead

Went to this show with some friends when I was in high school. Tickets were probably $5 or so. We rode over in somebody's souped-up '55 Chevy. I remember the hall being pretty small. Blue Cheer opened at peak volume - the power trio/Marshall stack thing was new then. Not to be outdone, the Dead played loud, hard, and great - at least, as much as I can remember of it! I do recall realizing that they were something else entirely.
