Been Waiting for News like This
Can't wait to see them for at least the two nights at Asbury Park. The audience recordings have been stellar and can only imagine how sweet it will be live.

Furthur Tour '10
Bob and Phil need to take it FURTHUR to South Florida. A three night run is highly desired.

furthur
these shows were sick in oakland, went broke flying out there and looks like im going stay that way till 2010! but hey its well worth the time and effort to hear a band of this caliber playing dead tunes. The dead on tour were the dead on tour but the new energy, interest and ideas brought to the tunes from all the young guys was phenomenal!

A short East Coast swing to small halls?
Eggcellent, eggcellent! Will be in CT with bells on!
Furthur Oakland
I also bent broke flying out to Oakland from Chicago for the three shows, but I spent a month sitting and contemlpating whether or not to go. I wanted to avoid that nasty feeling of regret, and I did! I beat that one on down the line, so don't miss it. Check out the soundboards at archive.org
Besides there being no lines in the rest rooms, plenty of water, no lines at consessions, and so much dancing space that I didn't have to move from my space, the music was a real treat. Those guys sound great, and they were playing so close I could see every look of concentration in their eyes. It was amazing, It was intimate, and a real party. Way to go Bob and Phil for keeping the magic alive. New guys earned their respect, it's only going to get tighter. Can't wait for the next shows.
I could go on forever on how awesome the Oakland shows were, but if you were there you already know what I'm talking about. I'm going to check out the NJ shows, my birthday's the 12th. so that should be fun. Can't wait, and don't miss out, or else do and make more room for us to dance!
After listening to the 3 Furthur shows
I must admit they sound really good. But the conclusion I come to is that I really love every line-up that Bob and Phil come up with whether it be The Dead, Furthur, RatDog, Phil and Friends, etc. Each line up has it's own twist and something about it that I love. Of course I like some better than others but would never discount any certain one. Each new and or different musician they bring in adds to the mystery and to the historic lore of this great band. I just want to really really thank Bobby and Phil for constantly pushing their band to new heights and exploring every musical avenue. And most of all for keeping the magic alive no matter which line up they put up on that stage. Now let's get a 2010 tour going which hits my neck of the woods!! Heck I just need to regain back some of my vacation time and I'll hit the road again, whatever it takes!!

further.......!!!!!
Rumors I'm hearing from East Coast heads a 54 show tour is in the works. These must be warm up shows....
the link that continues is not working for the early tickets.
what the hell????
"link that continues"?
I'd suggest you take it up with the site in question. The links above, to GDTSTOO and MusicToday, work fine. Strangely, GDTSTOO has no info posted about these shows, but like I say, take it up with them because we have nothing to do with ticket sales here.

EAST COAST!!!
west coast!! how about FURTHUR between the coasts!! say arizona ; )
Got 'Em!
It wasn't easy, but I managed to score a pair of tickets to the December 11th show in Wallingford, CT. The on-line sale was a disaster. At first, I couldn't get into the system (the button that led you to the actual order page was dead for almost five minutes after the sale started). Once I was able to make a ticket request, all of the "Reserve 1" level seats were gone. Still, I was able to find seats at that level on the telephone. My friend, who was with me this afternoon, clicking and dialing had the exact same experience. It was the only way in. But we're in!
The public sale is on October 10th. I suggest folks get their mice oiled and their clicking fingers bulked up beforehand. The telephone isn't gonna bail anyone out then.

Psyched for this. Getting
Psyched for this. Getting butterflies listening to The Eleven 9/18/09. Got them also scanning that setlist and seeing Touch of Grey at the end of it. I missed the Dead last Spring but actually made New Year's last year (flew out from NY). Going to the Hammerstein shows here now. I secured Wednesday online and was gonna leave it at that but I couldn't and went back for Tuesday. Hey this is what's good in life brothas and sistas.
The MusicToday order page wasn't working for me at first. Weird - every time I initially went through to order page, it was dead -- but if I hit 'refresh' then it would come to life where I could click through and actually continue with a purchase. I was actually freaking out for a minute when I for some reason tried that. From then it worked smoothly.
Anyway psyched for this, psyched for this. Glad, glad, glad. Can't wait.

ASBURY PARK
YEAAAAH MAN!!!! Futhur only 20 minutes from home. So psyched. I haven't stopped listening to the CO shows on archive since Tuesday. I did experience the same issue many have been posting esp. w/ the continue button. Patience eventually paid off & I got 2 great seats for both nights in Asbury. The Stone Pony right down the boardwalk promises to be THE place to be w/ Splintered Sunlight & Juggling Suns scheduled to play after the shows are over.
From everything I've listened to so far, this band KICKS ASS!! IMO this may be the best post-Jerry line-up yet. No offense intended of course towards any of the Phil & Friends lineups (who never disappointed) or Ratdog, but these guys sound like they're simply on fire. According to the reviews on Archive, opinions seem to be completely unanimous. From the people who attended & reviewed, Phil & Bob look like they're having a ball. Hopefully, we will be seeing this band for a while.
Peace to all. See ya in Asbury Park. It's not just Springsteen's territory anymore thank God. Possibly THE most overrated musician of all time.
aw shucks...
The first show is on my birthday and I'm on the other coast.
I need a miracle

I'm in!!!!!
I went to see the captain, strangest I could find...
Got my Wallingford tickets- woo hoo! Looks to be a much better line up and not as sluggish (from what I have seen on you tube anyway). All due respect to Warren but the last show in Hartford really did not get me like I thought it should. Good first set and great Black Peter, but the tommorrow never knows had me snoozing and the political drums was a disaster... I really think that the melody of the lead guitar really sets the timing and without someone that can at least bounce like JG then its not the same. Can't wait for the show!!!!
hmmm....
I understand the desire to play in areas to maximize turnout....totally understand...but there are more of said areas in the U.S. than the East and West Coasts.Share the love....please....I almost feel snubbed.

cant wait to see the further shows in nj. even better in Asbury... heard the shows so far were amazing and hope they give there all when they stop here because we'll be there in the crowd singing along to every word!
Sometimes we live no particular way but our own,
And sometimes we visit your country and live in your home,
Sometimes we ride on your horses, sometimes we walk alone,
Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own.

I'm with you on that one. Here's the difference to me and its pretty simple - if you have the core 4 together I will take off work, spend every penny i have, jump in my car and travel 2000 miles to see them play regardless of who else is playing with them. But if for example Billy and Mickey are not in the line up, then its like Ratdog or Phil and friends - if they come to my neck of the woods then yes I will be there otherwise I am not sacrificing vacation time, money or my vehicle to see them. I will save my resources and gamble that the 4 get back together and tour again.
