    Sweetness
"Two days later (August 14th) was Seattle, Washington. The place was excellent. Inside this amusement park was a huge fountain and some grass for the Heads to lounge on. Enjoy the sun ! During “Looks Like Rain” (general admission and for this one I got on Jerry’s left side, 15 rows back), I fully (fully) danced and dug the Bobby end-jam. Otherwise, a surprising China Cat > Know You Rider after Playin’ in the Band …. plus, I believe a sweet China Doll … What a concert ! What a joy ! … dancing ! People seem so unaggressive … plus there was festival seating and festival mushrooms."

Hot Show - Sugaree is amazing
Best Sugaree I have ever heard. Jerry was in the zone. Bertha> Promised Land rocked the town closing first set. This whole show is strong and everyone was having a great time.

    OK
This was my third show after an 11 year hiatus. During the 70's I became very familiar with the Dead songs through the various albums they had released, and knew them all by the time this gig rolled around. We had fun and the band was in the pocket, but I wasn't quite prepared for all the Deadheads that had attached themselves to the band since the many years I had seen them previously. By the 80's they had hit the "bigtime" and part of me longed for the old days when they were not so well known. But ya can't go back and ya can't stand still, if the geetar don't a gitcha then the deadheads will. The Dead were in a new era and there was no looking back.

Only show for which I lost my ticket stub. I was dragged to my first show. after several hours of pre-show partying at a friends house in Bellevue and just before we got on the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge I asked if we has our tickets. We were able to double back and get them and still get to the show in time. We all had taking a ton of FUN and walked with big smiles on our faces into the hot sun-baked Seattle Center and then to The Arena to a huge, unknown to me, congregation of amazing people. I got really really high and to the point of sort of freaking out. I remember thinking everyone around me was staring at me...and I remember thinking "wow they are *still* playing that same song" that being the Playin Reprise post drums. I didn't know their music so the show itself was a blur. I didn't see the light until my second show, but this one had me awfully curious. Thanks to The Clark Brothers and Ann for dragging me there. Talk about a life-changing experience!!!

ahhh! This was a delight ! Gen admission, a ldelightful sugaree, a looks like rain which drove through my spine (I love this song), and of course a wild playin > china > rider … which took us all off guard. A sweet, somewhat rare, Baby Blue (wasn't it even a 1st since .... 1974 ?)

Particularly remember the spaces BETWEEN the notes in Jerry's solo on Ship of Fools... Um, that's right. And Michelle's red and white dress.
