Raven Haven
Birds, blackbeaks, cracked
eying the minutes, that flee into Days
Crossing the wind swept maze
Crows from across borders drawn
tallens full of Dawn
waiting for somehow
Blessing the now
Nice, but I can't read the words
The words are too small; any chance of a blow-up?
"View image at full size"
We've added a "View image at full size" link to view the original size of the image. Should be able to read the text that way.
Full Size Image is large for loading, but when loaded it shrinks
Once the FULL SIZE image loads, it reverts to a smaller image (at least with my IE browser), I think its a SCREEN SIZE thing, you can go into Control Panel and make your Screen Settings for the pixels, to less, mine is more (1200? wide), it may have something to do with all that, but ONCE THE FULL THING IS LOADED, just RIGHT CLICK ON IT and SAVE AS (to your desktop), then double click on it on your desktop and view it that way. IT IS A VERY NICE CARTOON. My good friend Antonia Lamb (friend of Bob Gibson) said that all banjos tend to gravitate towards Mendocino village, so I am thinking of buying a banjo again. SO I LIKE THIS CARTOON ART. And it reminds me of E.A. Poes "The Raven". I like R CRUMB too. I grew up reading Zap and R Crumb products (R Crumb is my favorite), and I am an artist too. See my graphics at www.archure.net along with my music.

In IE when it loads the image will shrink to fit the IE page. Just hover your mouse over the image and wait for the controls to come up - in the lower right hand corner you will see a square with 4 diagonal arrows - click on that and the image will jump to its' full size.
Have fun!
What seems to be coming at you.............is coming from you.

Great Artwork

I clicked the image to read as well........
.......I was attracted to this so I immediately clicked it. Disappointed that I had trouble reading it. Hopefully the suggestions work.Thanks.
rewritten Lyrics
I guess I prefer the original lyric
Twenty degrees of solitude
Twenty degrees in all
to the Hunter rewrite:
Here is a feast of solitude
A Fiddler grim and tall
AFAIK the boys never performed the rewritten lyrics.
Favourite version - The Playboy Hour with Hugh Heffner always makes me smile :-)
Mountains of The Moon
If you go to the VIEW on top of page & text size to Largest, it looks perfect. I really dig the artwork. A bit haunting. I too prefer the original, but I guess that's because it's how I've always sung and heard it.
the Raven flies,under
the Raven flies, under moonlit skies, the moon surrendering her luminous glow. The stars of night, that each shine with light , tear -drops shed from heaven on high
the banjo player speaks through song, each string
bringing us all closer to the dawn.
Each string played, lifting us to that mysterious cloud of deep unknowing.
A quiet solitude, deep within this dark night's endless ocean.
