drchampagnethat everyone will have the opportunity to catch the Further's act this coming year whether you reside on a coast or not. IMHO, they are worth the effort to be in attendance.

I panned The Dead this spring after seeing one show. I called it like it was and got roundly booed by people. But, apparently, somebody is listening and I am totally impressed with I hear. It's never going to be the same again without Jerry and nobody can come close to replacing him but Furthur is like a good old fashioned acid flashback IMHO. ~ A little bit furthur than you've gone before ~

bring the show to Texas...Dallas is chill and Austin is...well...weird :) ...I imagine the Rhythm Devils will be joining the festivities shortly...."All good things in all good time" "In a bed, in a bed, by the waterside I will lay my head. Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul."

I saw all the Oakland sets and all I can say is get ready to be absolutely amazed. I caught a bunch of the Dead's west coast shows, loved em all, but Furthur for me went even further into the ozone of optimum bliss. Do be surprised if they bust out some crazy stuff... I can't even begin to think about it because I start getting jealous... and that leads to the itch... and the only way to scratch that is to hit the rough and tumble road. Oh well... in the meantime I shall light incense in the Temple of Dreams Come True and pray for more shows! Farrell Timlake president, Homegrown Video timlake@homegrownvideo.com

After experiencing the Further band in Oakland, I just have to see more. I have not been to New York since I was a kid, and I am wondering where to stay for the shows. Do any friends from New York have a suggestion of where to stay for a solo-traveler from California?

There have been no shows in Seattle since Jerry died. The Gorge last summer was awesome but how about a FURTHER show in Seattle on a weekend. Seems like when we do get good shows here it is midweek. Some of us have kids and work. Hope to see you.

I can't afford to keep hoppin' on planes - not that it isn't worth it. The Boyz are still rockin' hard and I love every show I get lucky enough to catch but we sure would like some Furthur under the midnight sun.

cmcpeak, the asbury park shows sold out already and the only place to get tickets other than trying to scalp them at the show is on websites such as www.stubhub.com . They have a bunch of tickets on there for both the saturday and sunday shows in NJ. The only problem with getting them from here is that they are normally priced about twice as much if not more than face value seeing as the tickets are sold by people trying to get rid of them and they charge rediculous prices because it is the only place to get them. But depending on how desperate you are to get tickets, they are available on that site.

Are going for about 1.5 to 2.5 x face. Don't know if they are still available at the box office.

I am in for the Saturday show, never have been to Convention Hall, so looking forward to seeing a different venue. If Bobby plays like he did last Sat at the Beacon, we are in for an excellent show! Perhaps they will take a walk down the boardwalk to the Stone Pony after??? Inspiration, move me brightly.

I saw my first show on May 9th and was levitating for days afterward. I would be so thrilled to see the Dead again! The music is both transcendent and intelligent and the jams are simply unbelievable. My only regret is that I didn't see the band before then. I think I've read Phil's autobiography at least 10 times through. Cheers, Diva in Long Beach "Today we're going to teach poodles to fly."-Raul Hernandez, UHF
