thunder and ligtning
this show had tons of its own energy. the big man upstairs put on a great light show at half time. It stormed all night
My last show
While I can't say I had the best show here, I can say I had the best seats. 7th row in front of Jerry for first set, and second row between Bob and Phil for second, which we had to fight for because the two jackass' in our seats wouldn't give them up. I remember the band standing along side the stage waiting to come out and me trying to explain with hand gestures to Bobby what was going on. Not cool. Anyhow, great seats and some real high points here and there; nice Foolish Heart and SOTM and Sugar Mag rocked as always. Bummer it was my last.
Re: thunder & ligtning......
Ye got that right.Greatest story....All too much...... what a show! The atmosphere was electric and magical.
I'll never forget
Ya know
That 'All Too Much' threw me for a loop. I had heard the song somewhere, but had no idea where and by whom... and it wasn't the first time the Dead had laid a big glop of Deja Vu on me... I was totally clean for this show and they STILL worked me over pretty good. The lights, the odd Victim, that unsettelling Space followed by Last Time... Huh. Safe travels, Spacefans.
Sadly my last show
This was my last show. The day Jerry passed everyone at work knew I was bummed out pretty hard. Had many good times at the shows inside and out in the parking lots. The best times were with fellow 'heads" before and after shows. Eatin grilled cheeses and dancin, hangin round the drums and just lazin round. Wil always remember and hang on to that piece of my life. Peace love and happiness all.
A Rainy Night in Auburn
I came in in the middle of "Ramble On Rose." Traffic was redick getting there. A woman with not much on kept leaning out and climbing up over the railing of the middle level, that classic "I can fly" maneuver. It kinda harshed a lot of people's buzzes. And Uggh, have you ever heard anyone say "wow, what an awesome "Liberty!" ? I didn't think so.
