i was living in Durango, CO when i hear the boys were playing in Pohoenix. I got my tix and headed down for the shows. Met up with some old friends and decided to hit the road for the St. patty's day shows at Rosemont, but was sidetracked in Iowa when our car spun on a gravel road and hit a tree. I was in the part of the cart that hit the tree. My buddy woke up and looked around the car to assess the damage and saw me. He got up as quick as he could and ran down the road to get help. I was taken to University of Iowa medical center. and was in a coma for 54 days. Total hospital time was 112 days. After my recovery and healing, the next shows i was able to attend was Soldier Field in 1995. July 9th was quite the night when i looked at Jerry a sense of closure came over me, one month later he was gone but never forgotten. We Will Survive! echoes in my mind as they opened up the show with Touch of Grey.

Hey man, was just remembering this show while making a podcast in which i namecheck it and saw your story. Glad you survived and thrived. I had a bad car wreck day before christmas near Jerome Idaho with my brothers. Really shook me up for a long time but the music helped heal.
