Had a weird, crazy flash today, listening to the GOGD on the way to work... a show from November 1970 ... The Train gets faster as they jam out towards the end.I picture Casey pushing that train as hard as it will go. It would be cool to hear Furthur 'make the train come off the tracks' one good time..(All Good!) ... and instead of closing the song the old fashion way, keep speeding it up and up, and then tear into some ear piercing feed back...and have Electric CHaos to tell everyone that the Train did go off the tracks one time..

My boss Tom has extreme highs & lows ( over the last 4 yrs I have seen quite a spectrum) So, about a month or so ago, he gets RAD seats at a Clapton show. I said in passing that I thought he'd feel some major positive vibes flowing from the stage & be a better person for it.. . Days later I told him If I could work to some music I'd be wayyy more productive. Not withstanding his mind boggling " NO MUSIC IN THE BUIDLING" rule he offered to pay for my headphones :)!! OH HAPPY DAY! I can't describe how much BETTER that feels!! ..... Last week he scheduled a seminar in Kansas City MO ( which I can't even think of without hearing ~ " Kansas City, here I come "). We live in South Carolina.... Come to find out, he just made it to the Sprint Center with Leanne Womack, Reba, & George Strait. Comes back with a tshirt & MAD praises for the fiddle/ mandolin backing up ol' George. Well Now.. I see this as my shoe in. Don't want to push the GOGD on anyone but HELLS BELLS! I mention Garcia/Grisman & play Shady Grove & The Hobo Song for him. I mean ( I MEAN), I pressed play & walked by to my office. Gotta give him some personal space to take it all in :) Right before quittin time, he hands me a Kris Kristofferson CD for the ride home ~~~ I always thought Johnny Cash wrote Sunday Mornin Coming Down. Had no idea. Leads up to This day ~ Tomorrow is his birthday & I am gifting him O&ITW, Grateful Dawg, The Pizza Tapes, & Garcia/ Kahn Oregon State Prison ****** REALLY REALLY DIG THAT SHOW******* &&&& have my toes crossed that he'll ease on into a Vine from HERE! Last but NOT least ~ 66 Primal Gems. PIGPEN is the MAN! ENCORE :) I TRULY hope he bends his ear to listen & really hear the tunes, or atleast passes it on. Thanks for letting me ramble on PEACE PROUD TO BE A GROUP W BENCHER

Apparently the Rev Kev feels the same way - he'll be returning to Canada after something like 10yrs abroad... we'll be lucky to have him back on home soil. The pace'll be different, I wager =)

nice one, badger =) cc- with regard to Tokyo, I agree completely, Tokyo makes me feel claustrophobic and minuscule at the same time. Have you been to Kyoto, Nikko, or Kamakura? If not, I highly recommend making the trip while you're in the area. The temples in Kamakura and Kyoto are *stunning*, and the national park surrounding Nikko is gorgeous as well.

Did you do the tripping over backpack thing? And all you Grate Northwesteners, I'll be copying and emailing your lists as far south as San Francisco. They will be happy to know they live in Washington. I've been inching my way north of there for some long years now via Hwy 101......and have been as far north as the Columbia River. Just one thing, do they advertise any homes for sale up there with the header "In the Banana Belt"? (Extra one hundred thou for that gem.) Because if they don't, maybe we just feel like we live in Washington.
