Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead miusic from three decades, the 1970s, 1980 and 1990s.
Our first selection is from the 3/1/70 at the Family Dog in San Francisco, where we have this short but excellent sequence featuring Me And My Uncle, That's It For The Other One> Black Peter.
From 11 years later on 3/9/81 at Madison Square Garden, where we have the start of the show, featuring Feel Like A Stranger; Althea ; C C Rider ;Ramble On Rose > El Paso; Deep Elem Blues. I always enjoy seeing Deep Elem on a setlist, as they only played it about a dozen times after the acoustic versions in the fall of 1980.
From 12 years later on 3/11/93 in Rosemont, IL, we have the end of the first set, featuring Althea ; When I Paint My Masterpiece ; So Many Roads > The Music Never Stopped.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
